The final countdown for Chapter 3 Season 4's Fortnite Fracture Live Event has begun. The event will occur on December 4, 2022, at 4 pm ET. Based on the hints provided by Epic Games, players will have to fight to stop the island's reality from deteriorating and reforge it to make it stronger.

While there's no clarity as yet as to what this means, it's likely that pieces from the older versions of the island will join together to form a brand new one. But speculation aside, there are a few things about the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 live event that can be said with absolution.

Fortnite Fracture Live Event: Details and freebies

1) Live event details

Based on the information provided by Epic Games in the blog post, The “Fracture” playlist will be available in Fortnite 30 minutes prior to the 4 pm ET start time. This means that players can jump in before the event starts.

For those who somehow manage to miss the start time, there's no need to worry as they can still join in-progress until 4:40 pm ET. This is a great move as players sometimes tend to get disconnected from their squad and are then unable to rejoin.

Additionally, the Fortnite Fracture Live Event supports parties of up to four players. For those not queuing into the event with a squad, they can emote with other players during the event to form one.

2) No gaming device? No problem!

With the Fortnite Fracture Live Event being a one-time-only gig, missing out on it will be a shame. While players will be able to watch it afterwards via video, things will not feel the same as they would have in-game. That said, players are in luck.

For those who will not have access to a dedicated gaming device during the event, they'll still be able to partake in the celebrations. This can be done via Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW services. Using either of these, players will be able to enjoy the live event via cloud streaming on their PC web browser or mobile device.

3) Toasty Roast Emote (freebie)

To commemorate the beginning of the end and the Fortnite Fracture Live Event, Epic Games is giving everyone a free emote. Those who log into Fortnite from December 2 at 9 am ET to December 4 at 2:45 am ET will receive the Toasty Roast Emote.

Keep in mind that this is likely exclusive to Chapter 3 Season 4 and will not be available after the aforementioned time. For those who miss out on getting it now, there will never be another chance.

4) Upcoming challenges

With the official announcement of the Fortnite Fracture Live Event marking the end of Chapter 3, there's less than two weeks for things to come to an end. Battle Pass holders should hurry and reach seasonal level 200 to claim all bonus rewards.

To speed up the process, Avian Ambush Week has gone live and will run until 9 am ET on November 29. During this duration, loot-holding chickens will spawn more often in matches. Players can complete these chicken-themed quests for XP and there'll be bonus goals to obtain Level Up Tokens as well.

Last but not least, Bargain Bin Week will begin and run until 3 pm ET on December 3. NPCs will offer goods and services at a discounted price, giving players more value for their gold bars. Additionally, there will be special quests to complete for XP, plus bonus goals for Level Up Tokens.
