In Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, Capture Points provide far more loot than any one looper can carry. Although they take a fair amount of time to capture, once that task is done, players will be rewarded with mid-to-high-tier loot and items.

Presently, a total of nine Capture Points exist on the island and are found in Named Locations. However, if and when the snow melts to reveal more POIs, additional Capture Points may appear on the map. With that said, here's where to find all the Capture Points in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

As mentioned before, Capture Points can only be found in major areas or in Named Locations. They usually spawn in the center of the POI and are relatively easy to spot. To keep things simple, their locations will be divided into two types, based on the biome in which they appear.

Capture Points in the Grassland Biome

In the Grassland Biome, there are a total of seven Capture Points. Some are harder to secure than others considering the terrain they're located in, while others are a walk in the park. Here are their locations:

  • Breakwater Bay
  • The Citadel
  • Anvil Square
  • Shattered Slabs
  • Frenzy Fields
  • Faulty Splits
  • Slappy Shores

Out of these seven locations, the Capture Points at Frenzy Fields and Slappy Shores are by far the easiest to secure. If players manage to land first and clean out their competition, they should have no problem in securing these Capture Points.

Unfortunately, only two Capture Points can be found in the Snow Biome. Given the jagged terrain and limited routes for rotation, players are going to have to choose between a rock and a hard place. Hopefully, the snow melts away once Winterfest 2022 comes to an end, making mobility easier. That being said, here are the locations of the Capture Points:

  • Brutal Bastion
  • Lonely Labs

Out of these two, Lonely Labs is the best option that's available to players. Given that Brutal Bastion is a hot-drop and highly contested zone in nearly every match, securing the Capture Point there will be difficult.

Is it worth securing a Capture Point in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1?

It all depends on several factors. For solo players dropping in POIs such as The Citadel or Brutal Bastion, securing a Capture Point is the last thing on their "to do list."

By the time all enemies have been eliminated and the area secured, there's no need to go after a Capture Point. Given that it takes 60 seconds to capture, that's a lot of time for one player to remain in the same place.

However, when playing as a squad, securing Capture Points makes a lot of sense. Rather than rotating from one POI to another in search of loot, the entire squad can gear up by taking hold of a Capture Point. Although loot is not the best in Fortnite, this will suffice during the early-game stages.

Furthermore, for players who land in POIs that have Oathbound Chests, there is very little need to secure a Capture Point. In the time it takes to do so, a player can easily open all Oathbound Chests in that area and obtain top-tier loot.

With that said, it will eventually all boil down to individual player choices and requirements. Depending on how things play out in their matches, securing a Capture Point may be life-saving or a waste of time. If nothing else, they can be used to reveal chests and mark opponents in the area for a short duration of time.
