Augments or "Perks" as they are being referred to by the community are combat-oriented bonuses that players can earn in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. These provide tactical buffs and allow players to specialize in certain roles during a match.

Players can collect Fortnite Augments by staying alive in a match. The longer a player survives, the more Augments they can earn during that match. However, only four can be used at any given time. Since they are randomized, players will have to re-roll them using gold bars to get the Augment they desire.

Once the match ends, all Fortnite Augments earned during playtime will be reset and removed. Although players can still view them in their "Augment" tab in-game, they must once again earn them during the next match by staying alive.
