Loopers have been patiently waiting for the first major update of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, and it has finally arrived with a variety of new content being added to make the gameplay even more interesting. With Easter fast approaching, there has been plenty of speculation within the community about the possibility of an Easter-themed event in the game.

Recent leaks, however, reveal a number of new quests and Easter-themed items that will be included with the update. There will also be a variety of new features and content introduced, such as five new Augments, the return of classic Battle Royale weapons, and the unveiling of superlevel skins in the Battle Pass. Without further ado, here are the patch notes for Fortnite update v24.10 that officially drops today.

The next v24.10 patch will include a brand new Easter-themed questline to the game, titled the Spring Breakout event. To progress in this event, players will need to use Easter-themed items, namely the Egg Launcher, Chicken Eggs, and Spring Chickens. Upon completion, players can claim up to six free rewards in their Fortnite locker.

An official trailer was leaked as well, revealing important information about the event and showing players using Egg Launchers on the most recent Chapter 4 Season 2 island. Until April 11, 2023 at 12:00 am Eastern Time, the Spring Breakout event and its associated content will remain accessible in-game.

2) New Augments

The upcoming v24.10 update will include five new Augments to the game. Some of these Augments are permanent, while others are only available for the Spring Breakout event (similar to the ones added during the Most Wanted event).

The latest Augments are as follows:

  • Springtime Blowout
  • Game Time
  • Go for Broke
  • Rail Warrior
  • Aquatic Warrior

The Pizza Party consumable, Flint Knock Pistol, Charge Shotgun, Egg Launcher, and Hop Eggs are just some of the classic Fortnite items that are included in the five upcoming Augments unvault. Loopers' abilities while swimming or grinding rails in Mega City are enhanced by the Aquatic and Rail Warrior Augments.

3) Superlevel Styles

With this patch, the highly anticipated Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass Superlevel Styles have also been revealed. Beyond level 100, players will have access to these styles all the way up to level 200.

Given below are the three Superlevel Styles that can be unlocked and will feature a skin animation:

  • Kinetic Rush
  • Neon Citrus
  • Mega Wave

All three of these styles look visually stunning and will certainly be appreciated by the player base.

4) Upcoming Crew Pack skins

In the past, several cosmetic skins have been teased in-game through posters and billboards. Reliable leaks show that the new posters that were introduced to the game foreshadow the three new Crew Pack skins that will be released in the coming months.

It has already been announced that Triarch Nox will be the bonus skin for the April Crew Pack.

5) Lantern Fest Quests

Brand new Lantern Fest quests will be introduced to the game in conjunction with the Spring Breakout event to mark the Islamic holiday of Eid. If a player completes any three of the required quests, they will be rewarded with a free weapon wrap.

6) New NPCs on the island

Nine new non-playable characters (NPCs) have been introduced to Fortnite Island in Chapter 4 Season 2 as of the most recent update. Players can purchase items from them or make use of their services as a bodyguard during a Battle Royale match.

7) UI changes

The game's user interface has undergone a number of recent updates, most notably to the Quests and Characters menus. All of the NPCs on Fortnite Island have had their locations and thumbnails added to the game's map.

In addition, players may enlarge their marker on the mini-map and pinpoint their precise location. In contrast, the revamped quests page now displays a green tick next to each questline's completed tasks, saving players the trouble of cycling through them one by one.

8) Upcoming skins

In addition to various Easter-themed items, a slew of new skins have also been revealed, all of which contribute to the season's already prominent futuristic vibe. The two cosmetic costumes, which will be included in Crew packs or sold individually in the Item Store, will soon feature an extra style that players can choose from once they have it in their Fortnite lockers.
