Fortnite Chapter 5 has been a popular topic over the past few weeks. According to leakers, Epic Games is preparing a new chapter of the video game, which will likely be introduced in 2023. This is surprising, considering that the first two chapters lasted for two years each. However, it appears that Epic will change its strategy and release new chapters every 12 months.

Seeing how this strategy works out for Fortnite's developers will be interesting. The first chapter of the video game had 10 seasons, while the second one had eight. Chapter 3 had only four seasons, which also appears to be the case with Chapter 4.

Fortnite Chapter 5 will bring a new map, leaving players in anticipation. Unfortunately, this also means that the current map will be gone. Thus, players will likely hope Epic Games allows them to play maps of older chapters in the future.

The new map will look different from anything players have seen, although this has been the case before. Besides the new map, a new Battle Pass will also be released with the new chapter's first season.

Considering a Fortnite season lasts for three months on average, we expect Fortnite Chapter 5 to be released in late November or early December 2023.

If Epic continues releasing new seasons every three months, this will be the timeline of the future seasons:

Another positive news is that Fortnite Chapter 5 will come after a new live event. While the event hasn't been leaked yet, it will likely have something to do with the map destruction.

Unfortunately, this may also mean Epic Games won't release a new live event in Chapter 4 Season 2. Fortnite leakers claim that the developers will release new events only once per chapter, which is every 12 months on average.
