Epic Games has released numerous items into Fortnite Battle Royale over the last five years. Thanks to these frequent updates, the game has gained immense popularity and still has millions of active players.

While Epic releases some incredible items, some are also rather disappointing. There was even an item that had no gameplay purpose at all.

Recently, the community discussed the worst items in the game. The discussion started on Reddit as user myMcLarenP1 posted an image of the cash item in the game.

Redditors discuss the most useless items to exist in Fortnite

Reddit user myMcLarenP1 claimed that Cash was the worst item ever released. It was only used for Borderlands challenges released in Season X and could only be found in the Pandora rift zone.

Cash had no gameplay purpose, but it most likely inspired Epic Games to add gold bars eventually.

Several Redditors believe that certain vehicles are the worst. Booted vehicles, which can be found in any game mode, have little to no purpose. The situation is the same with Reboot Vans in Solo, though they can be used for cover.

Back in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 7, Epic Games released Bottle Rockets. This new explosive item was supposed to be destructive and dangerous, but it ended up weak and annoying. To nobody's surprise, many players consider it the worst item in Fortnite.

Fans also believe that Rusty Can is the worst item in Fortnite. The item can be obtained by fishing and deals 20 damage per hit. Rusty Can is worse than a pickaxe with a fire rate of one shot per second.

Several users have also brought up the Mythic Spire Jump Boots from Chapter 2 Season 6. This mobility item was obtained by eliminating a spire guardian and taking the orb from the tower to the Spire, which was tedious.

Considering that the item could have been better, going through the process wasn't worth the effort. The item may also be the worst Mythic item ever released in the game.

Several items available in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 have also received votes for the worst items ever released. Impulse Grenades, which have been unvaulted at the start of the season, are considered the worst by many players.

Some users believe that Balloons, which can be obtained by activating the Party Time augment, are the worst. While they are decent for mobility, players cannot completely control them, which can cause a lot of problems.

Surprisingly, some Fortnite players believe that SCAR is the worst item ever released. The iconic weapon has returned with the release of the new chapter, but players don't believe it is as effective as before.

Finally, several players think that victory crowns have no purpose. Despite rewarding players with extra XP, the crowns also ping players whenever a circle closes, which puts them at a big disadvantage.
