The Fortnite Herald Quests have been released thanks to the weekly update. Players have several different quests that can be completed to unlock the Herald skin and its related cosmetics. Much like Indiana Jones, Superman, and the Cube Queen, the Herald will arrive as the secret skin in Chapter 3 Season 4.

Notably, challenges and cosmetics have been locked all season to this point. However, players will finally have the opportunity to unlock the skin if they have the battle pass.

One of the challenges is to ignite structures. Here are the best ways to do that.

Fortnite Herald Quests: Ignite 50 structures

This challenge requires players to ignite 50 structures in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. There are two ways of doing this.

Method 1: Firefly jars

Fireflies can be encountered in one of two ways. You can find them flying in the forests and other areas on the island and collect them in a jar manually. Alternatively, you may come across them as floor loot in groups of three.

Once you find them, head to the nearest named location or landmark. The ideal spot would be somewhere with a wood-based building that would easily burn. Regardless, you should try to find big Fortnite buildings.

Throw the fireflies at the structures. Try and make sure you hurl different ones at specific spots of the building. As the fire spreads, more structures will be ignited. Eventually, you will get to 50 total structures for this challenge.

Method 2: Gas stations or gas cans

Gas is explosive in Fortnite. Hence, this opens up two more options for this challenge. Gas stations, of which there are a few on the map, have gas pumps that can be broken. Once they get down to 50 health, they will explode.

If you're out of the way, they won't kill you. However, they will cause all the other pumps to explode and light most structures around on fire. The best place is the large gas station in the middle of the map.

Additionally, at various locations, there are gas cans. These often spawn in wooden cabins, which are great for igniting. If you find one, place it in an opportune spot and strike it once with a pickaxe.

It will explode and ignite the nearby structures, allowing the fire to spread until it burns out.

Once you've ignited 50 structures, you'll unlock the Epitaph Edge harvesting tool for the Herald's cosmetic set.

Here's the full list of challenges for the Herald skin and cosmetics:

  • Ignite 50 structures
  • Eliminate 10 opponents
  • Damage opponents while Chromeified (500 total)
  • Get Chromeified while driving
  • Tame two Chromeified wildlife
  • Talk with three characters and deliver The Herald's warning
  • Eliminate seven opponents at airborne locations
  • Land at the Herald's Sanctum and place top 10

Thanks to the latest update, these challenges are live in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
