The Herald Quests are now available in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. This season's secret skin, the Herald, is now available. In the same way that Superman, The Prowler, Indiana Jones, and the Cube Queen before it, this outfit and all its cosmetics are available through completion of new, specific challenges.

Thanks to the latest weekly update today, the challenges for the skin and its related cosmetics are available. These challenges reward one cosmetic item but not any XP in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

Among them is the challenge to tame Chrome-ified wildlife; here's how to do just that.

Fortnite Herald Quests: Tame Chrome-ified wildlife

This challenge requires you to tame two different wildlife that have been chromed in the game. Here's how you can complete the task:

Step 1: Find Chrome-ified wildlife

For this challenge, you will of course need to find two different wildlife that are covered in chrome. The only ones that can be tamed are wolves and boars. To find them, head to any location that has chrome covering it, especially ones with forest areas nearby. The best place to try this is probably Herald's Sanctum.

There's no telling when or if wildlife will spawn so you may just have to explore around and wait for them. If they are Chrome-ified, then you are good to proceed with the next step.

If they're not, then wait for them to come into the Chrome locations and they may become covered in it. If not, a Chrome-ified one will spawn eventually.

Alternatively, you can throw a Chrome Splash at them to avoid waiting.

Step 2: Tame the wildlife

In past seasons, wildlife could have been tamed with meat and the Hunter's Cloak. However, that item has been vaulted, so it's not a viable method anymore. Wolves and boars will still be attracted to meat, but there's a much simpler way of taming them in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

To tame any of the wildlife, simply jump and land on its back. It will instantly become friendly and controllable like a vehicle. Hearts should exude from the beast, too.

You can then ride it around or walk and it will follow you until it dies. You are not required to ride it around for any distance or even keep it as an obedient helper for any period of time. All that is required is to tame it twice. However, that may require multiple matches.

Once you've tamed two wildlife that were Chrome-ified, you'll earn the Fading Ember Cloak back bling for the Herald's set.

Here is the full list of challenges for this season's secret skin:

  • Tame 2 Chromeified wildlife
  • Ignite 50 structures
  • Eliminate 10 opponents
  • Damage opponents while Chromeified (500 total)
  • Get Chromeified while driving
  • Eliminate 7 opponents at airborne locations
  • Land at the Herald's Sanctum and place top 10
  • Talk with 3 characters and deliver The Herald's warning

These challenges should be live in-game now thanks to the latest Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 update.
