Every week, players who like to be on the grind regularly await these quests that award them 16,000 XP on completion. This helps them progress faster and unlock the Midseason Drops easily. The week 7 quests were called Unusually Utilitarian, which required players to use certain utility items and complete the set of challenges. This time around, they are termed Throw Down, where dropping weapons and throwing items is the key.

One such quest requires players to throw something within five seconds of damaging an opponent. Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can complete the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 quest.

While the quest sounds quite straightforward, players need to identify throwable items across the island and be quick on their feet before attempting the challenge. But first, grabbing a weapon is key to defending yourself before damaging an opponent.

Once you manage to do so, you need to look for throwable items around the island that you can use to complete the quest. There are currently three types of throwables around the island that Fortnite players can use.

1) Utility Items

There are four utility items that players can throw around the island. They are:

  • Guardian Shield
  • Gas Can
  • Cow Catchers
  • Chonker Tires

Players can gather any of these items from the area they land in and throw it as soon as they damage an opponent. This will easily allow them to complete the weekly quest. While Guardian Shields can be found in Oathbound Chests, players can easily find the Gas Can, Cow Catchers, or Chonker Tires at a gas station.

2) Throwable Grenades

Players can also use throwable grenades that they can easily find in a loot chest or from a tree nearby (in the case of Firefly Jars). There are currently three types on Fortnite Island:

  • Grenade
  • Impulse Grenade
  • Firefly Jar

These grenades can also help damage your enemy; however, they impact after they are thrown. So incase you're stacking up to two grenades, throw the first one to damage your opponent and then another in quick succession to complete the Fortnite challenge.

3) Consumable Items

Fortnite island consists of several consumable items that you can use to gain health and shields from. Apart from the Med Mist, all of these items are throwable. Here's a list of all the throwable consumables that you can easily find around the island:

  • Foraged Items (Banana, Apple, Coconut, Corn, Shield Mushrooms, Slap Berries)
  • Meat
  • Fish (Small Fish, Flopper, Shield Fish)
  • Shield Items (Small and Large Shield Potions, Shield Keg)
  • Health Items (Bandages, Med Kit)
  • Slap Juice
  • Chug Splash and Chilli Chug Splash

These items can easily be found across the island and is the fastest way to complete the Week 8 quest. Simply grab a weapon and a consumable nearby.

As soon as you damage an opponent, throw a consumable on the ground within five seconds. Once you do that, you will receive 16,000 XP upon completing the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Week 8 quest.

Note: If players knock an enemy down after damaging them and do not have a throwable item in their inventory, they can carry their enemy and yeet them. That should be a clever way to complete the quest.
