With Fortnite being free-to-play (except in Save The World mode), one has to wonder how Epic Games stays afloat. The answer is cosmetics. The company brings in revenue by selling in-game cosmetics. Some are rare, while others are extremely common. However, the majority of them are not free.

Whether players obtain them via the Battle Pass or Item Shop, they all cost money. Players need to spend real-life currency to buy V-Bucks, which is the currency used in-game. Each cosmetic costs a few V-Bucks, but what happens when a player spends a ridiculous amount of V-Bucks in-game?

It's raining V-Bucks on Fortnite's Reddit

A Reddit user by the name of JMurker315 shocked the community after they recently posted a video of their account. In the recording, the user showcases their vast collection of skins in the in-game Locker. While many users have dozens of skins to show off in-game, JMurker315, has 703.

Given that the total number of skins available in Fortnite is roughly 1,450, the user owns nearly half of all skins to have been introduced to the game. Furthermore, the Locker also contains exclusive "OG" skins such as Blue Squire and The Reaper from Chapter 1 Season 2 and 3, respectively.

The bulk of the skins in the Locker are mostly those that were introduced after Chapter 2 began. Nevertheless, the collection is outright impressive, to say the least. By all accounts, JMurker315 can be considered a cosmetic aficionado in the community. While there will never be another ITalkFortnite, this comes somewhat close.

Skins are not the only thing that he collects. Based on the information provided, the user also owns 550 emotes, 306 gliders, and 570 pickaxes. Given the vast collection, the emoticons and wraps will likely also number in the hundreds. Here's what a few users had to say about the collection:

Given that the collection of cosmetics in the Fortnite Locker is massive, it's only plausible that it costs a lot of money. Since numerous parameters have to be taken into account, the total amount spent to buy these cosmetics is nothing short of astronomical.

How much did JMurker315 spend on all the cosmetics?

In terms of V-Bucks, JMurker315 has spent over 690,000 worth of in-game currency. If this sounds impressive, the real-life conversion of currency is mind-boggling. According to other users, 690,000 V-Bucks are worth $5,500. However, it's likely well over $6,000 when other factors are taken into consideration.

For instance, the user has the Dark Power Chord skin. This particular cosmetic item cannot be purchased using V-Bucks. It has to be bought with real-life money. Since there are numerous cosmetics of this kind, this raises the total valuation of the Fortnite Locker by a few hundred dollars.

In fact, the user also has a few Crew skins, which can only be obtained through the Crew membership subscription, which again costs real-life money. They cannot be purchased using V-Bucks.

With all that said, the user is unlikely to slow down anytime soon. Given that certain cosmetics become rare after one season, collecting them all is a top priority for JMurker315. It's very likely that by the time Chapter 4 ends, the total valuation of the Locker will jump to well over $7,000.
