While Fortnite Creative 2.0 tools are currently only available on PC, console, and mobile players will have to update their clients to play on new maps. Epic Games released the latest update on Monday, March 20 and it is a requirement for the UEFN integration.

Given the complexity of the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, Epic is unlikely to deploy it on consoles. It comprises multiple advanced functions, such as coding, that a game controller just cannot provide.

The good news, however, is that players using consoles can actively participate in the creation of maps. Creative 2.0 features live collaboration and console players will be able to join the maps that are being developed.

Fortnite Creative 2.0 has already been used by several developers. Atlas Creative created the Fortnite OG map as well as numerous more electrifying maps for it. In addition, numerous more creators have subsequently unveiled future programs.

Epic Games has decided to share 40% of Fortnite's net revenue with creators, which is why a lot of players have a lot more motivation to use the new tools and bring fantastic maps to the popular video game.

Creative 2.0 is free, but creators may purchase additional assets for their custom maps. However, this is optional as many assets are freely available.
