New Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) skins will soon be released in Fortnite Battle Royale. The v22.30 update has added two new competitive skins to the game data, but Epic Games will release them next week.
Once again, players can earn Fortnite Competitive Series cosmetic items for free, but only by competing in the official Fortnite Championship Series community cup. These cosmetic items will also be released to the Item Shop at a later date.
One thing that makes FNCS skins so special is their rarity. Epic Games releases these skins only once and players usually only have a week to obtain them. If they miss a chance, these skins will never return to the game again.

New in-person Fortnite tournament takes place next week
The upcoming Fortnite Championship Series tournament will conclude the current competitive year. At the end of every season in Chapter 3, Epic Games released an FNCS tournament which rewarded its participants with exclusive cosmetic items and thousands of dollars.
The next such tournament will have players competing in-person at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The competitive event will take place on November 12 and 13 and will be played in Duos.
Players who participate in the upcoming tournament will receive exclusive Fortnite skins. They will also compete for their share of the $1 million prize pool. The two-day event will begin on Saturday, November 12, at 2:30 pm Eastern Time.
During this competitive event, Epic Games will enable Twitch and YouTube drops for players who watch the stream. The drops will no longer be available after November 13, but may be released to the Item Shop at a later date.
How to obtain next FNCS skins
When it comes to the two FNCS skins, you can obtain them for free by participating in the FNCS Invitational Community Cup. This is another Duos cup and it will be released on Tuesday, November 8.
The exact start time of the Community Cup varies from one region to another. To check the exact start time of the tournament, please visit the Compete tab within the game.
During this competition, you and your duo partner will have to be one of the best-performing teams in order to get the new skins. Here are the cutoff points for cosmetic items in the previous Fortnite Championship Series tournaments:
- Europe: Top 1,250 players
- North America (East): Top 750 players
- North America (West): Top 250 players
- Brazil: Top 400 players
- Asia: Top 150 players
- Oceania: Top 100 players
- Middle East: Top 100 players
If you fail to qualify for the cosmetic items, you will be able to obtain them from the Item Shop. Unfortunately, they will not be free and you will have to spend at least 800 V-Bucks per skin.
The items will most likely make their way to the Item Shop on November 12 and will stay in the game until November 16. After this, they will no longer be obtainable and will become extremely rare after a few years.
