Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration with Force Powers and Lightsabers confirmed for Chapter 4 Season 2

Based on the latest Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 leaks, a brand new collaboration with Star Wars will take place in the upcoming season. While this will not be the first time Disney's flagship franchise will be appearing in the metaverse, the collaboration will be much more fleshed out this time around.

As per the information available from leakers, apart from Lightsabers, players will also be able to use Force Powers. Given that Darth Vader could use Force Powers in Chapter 3 when he was featured as an NPC Boss, giving players the ability to use them against opponents will be nothing short of a dream come true.

Star Wars is coming back to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2

As mentioned before, in addition to Lightsabers, Force Powers will be added to the game. As of now, a total of eight are speculated to arrive sometime in the new season. Here's the list:

According to leakers, these will work in a similar manner to other Mythic items/weapons that grant players special powers. If all eight Force Powers are added to the game, they may either be activated on a chance or rotational basis.

That said, it'll be interesting to see how these powers translate from the Star Wars lore into the game. In all probability, they will function very similarly to how they work in films and other mediums but will feature a cooldown to balance things out.

When will this new collaboration with Star Wars occur in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

Despite the leakers not being able to get hold of a timeline within which the collaboration will occur, there are two potential release dates. The first will be at the start of the new season, which coincides with The Mandalorian Season 3. The alternative date would be May 4, 2023 - Star Wars Day.

Given that the new season is already this hyped-up, the developers may keep the collaboration for May as the months of March and April are already saturated with content. Nevertheless, with the metaverse being infinitely large, there's always room for more.

Will there be any new Star Wars items/weapons and/or Outfits added to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

With The Mandalorian Season 3 featuring the Darksaber yet again, it's possible that Epic Games will finally add it to the loot pool. However, it's highly unlikely that Darksaber will be more powerful than the others that already exist in-game.

Although it does allow the wielder to land more powerful blows, this unique feature may be nerfed for balancing reasons in-game. Other than Darksaber, maybe more characters from The Mandalorian may be added to the Item Shop as Outfits.

Given how popular The Mandalorian is in current pop culture, another full-blown collaboration cosmetic fiesta will work well for Epic Games. Since Mando was an exclusive Battle Pass Outfit released during Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, releasing a new version of the character will create unprecedented hype.

If nothing else, the developers could add different Mandalorians such as The Armorer and Bo-Katan Kryze, perhaps even Moff Gideon as outfits to the game. This would make Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 one of the most memorable ones in the history of the metaverse.
