Fortnite leaks suggesting a "sponsorship" system is in the works

As mentioned in the caption by @ShiinaBR, this leak was first reported by @Krowe_moh, the developer of The Dub Bot. The Dub Bot is one of the most popular Discord Bots developed primarily to enhance your Fortnite experience while using the app.

The post says that three features could be introduced with the sponsorship system in Fortnite:

  • Budget setting: Creators might have the ability to set how much they want to spend on promoting their in-game content.
  • CPM system: CPM stands for "Cost per Mille" (or thousand views). This likely implies that the sponsorship system will operate similarly to YouTube's ad model.
  • Tracking expenses: There would likely be a built-in feature to monitor and manage how Fortnite creators are spending and potentially see their return on investment.

An in-game sponsorship system could probably change the creative experience of Fortnite and other games as well. Not only it would provide an opportunity to promote your in-game experiences, but it could also regulate the messed-up situation of UEFN maps moderation.

As of now, the Fortnite leaks do not confirm whether these changes will arrive with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, or with the the beginning of Chapter 6 next year. It is most likely that only creators with a valid Creator Code in Fortnite would be able to use the sponsorship feature.
