Fortnite: Midas and Lennox Rose connected in ways nobody imagined

The Fortnite lore is filled with countless interesting theories, some of which involve popular characters in the game. Since the release of Chapter 3 Season 4, a new theory involving Midas has come up. Surprisingly, Loopers have spotted one of his classmates from The Academy in the most recent Battle Pass.

Lennox Rose is available on Page 6 of the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass. The description of the outfit states that she was the first character to escape The Academy, but not the last. However, more interesting than Lennox is her connection with Midas.

Lennox dual-wields a set of golden pistols. The sidearms bear an uncanny resemblance to the golden pistols that Midas has in Fortnite. Clearly, the two of them attending The Academy together and wielding the same weapons isn't just a coincidence.

Lennox Rose and Midas' connection in Fortnite

Epic Games introduced Lennox Rose in the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass. Her connection to The Academy was made very clear by her outfit description. Besides her, Midas and Dr. Slone are two other popular characters from the Battle Royale game who attended the same institution. A few seasons ago, players spotted a photo from Slone's lair that had Midas sitting in the background.

Several NPC dialogues confirm The Academy is a TV series. However, given the characters who were a part of it, one would be forgiven for believing it is an institute that trains anti-heroes like Dr. Slone and Midas in Fortnite. While the connection between these two characters is no longer a secret, the Golden King and Lennox Rose having similar guns is certainly a surprising link shared by the two.

Unfortunately, Epic Games did not elaborate a lot on Lennox's character throughout the ongoing season. However, many theories suggest that The Academy is related to the Imagined Order. That would mean Lennox was once a part of IO too.

Midas might return in Fortnite Chapter 4

Although the exact relationship between Lennox Rose and Midas will forever remain a secret, players can take solace in knowing that the Golden King is finally returning to Fortnite's island. Leaks suggest that he will be the key to saving the island from The Herald and will have a major role to play in the Fracture live event.

Midas isn't the only one returning to the island. Leaks suggest that Dr. Slone is making a comeback too. Epic Games has added her NPC files back to the game ahead of the Chapter 3 Season 4 end-of-season event.

It seems like Slone didn't die in the Chapter 3 Season 2 finale or that a snapshot of her survived and is now committed to saving the island. As the three Academy recruits reunite, it would be interesting to see if they can finally protect the fate of the island.
