Fortnite has just introduced a new mechanic to the game in the form of heat levels. These are new levels that players can move through during a game, and the hotter one is, the more visible they are to enemies.

Heat levels come with bonuses, so it's not just a way for players to be seen on the map by enemies. Level one heat means that eliminated opponents drop more gold bars. Two means a movement speed increase of 15% and a non-combat health regeneration is applied.

Level three heat bumps that speed increase to 20% and regenerates half the shield during non-combat situations. Level four means that Fortnite players will get a 25% increase in their movement speed, and full shield can be regenerated.

Here's how you can get all four levels.

How to get all four Heat Levels in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

Step 1: Open Fortnite

To do any of this, you must first get into Fortnite. Provided you have auto-updates enabled, the app should be up to date. If it's not, you will need to download and install the update first.

Once that's done, you can proceed to the game.

Step 2: Log in and start a match

From there, ensure you log into the account. Once the game is loaded, you can start a match. This can be done in Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads. It can even be done in Zero Build, as this is a widespread mechanic that Fortnite has introduced.

Step 3: Eliminate players

The quickest way to do this is to eliminate players. They will drop gold bars, which will help increase your heat level. This new mechanic will reward players for being aggressive and force those who stay away from combat to get involved.

Eliminating five players should give you enough heat to move to the second Heat Level in Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1. Once you get there, you'll earn more gold per elimination, which will help you move to the next three levels.

Step 4: Open vaults

Vaults carry a lot of gold, so it is very advisable to visit them. These aren't easy to get into. Nevertheless, if you open vaults (or cash registers, for that matter), you can get a lot of gold, which will help increase your Heat Level.

Step 5: Visit these payphones

These payphones found around the island can also increase Heat Levels. This option does require gold bars, at least 500, for the first increase. This could be an easy way to quickly get all four Heat Levels and reap the benefits for the entire match.
