The 13th edition of the U19 World Cup will be played in South Africa across eight venues. The competition will last over 24 days to find the winner of the 2020 edition.
Although the U19 world cup schedule 2020 is spread over just 24 days, the tournament has a league stage, a plate league and a super league. A total of 16 teams are divided into four groups of four teams each. The league stage will begin on 17 January 2020 and will go on till 25 January 2020.
Top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super League stage and the bottom two teams will play in the Plate League. According to the Under 19 cricket world cup schedule, the Plate League matches will begin on January 27 and the Super League matches will begin on January 28.
All of the Plate League matches will be played in Potchefstroom except the second semi-final and the U19 World Cup Final which will be played at Kimberley and Benoni. Potchefstroom will also host all of the Super League matches except the fourth quarter-final which will be played at Benoni.
The eight venues for the competition are as follows: The Diamond Oval and Country Club B Field in Kimberley; Senwes Park, North-West University No1 Ground, North-West University No2 Ground and Witrand Cricket Field in Potchefstroom; the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein and the Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
The Under 19 world cup schedule marks the placement matches from February 1 to 8. The 9th place match will be the Final of the Plate League. The Super League Final, which will also be the U19 World Cup Final, will be played on 9 February 2020 at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
