The West Indian Cricket team will be extending their 28-day visit to India to play against Afghanistan by 21 odd days to play a short T20 and ODI series against India in the month of December 2019. The West Indians are scheduled to stay in India from 4 November 2019 to play against Afghanistan, who have their home grounds in India.
The West Indian team will play a series of 3 T20 Internationals and 3 ODIs from 6 December 2019 to 22 December 2019. This India vs West Indies 2019 will be the second limited-overs series between the two countries this year.

The India vs West Indies T20I series is scheduled to begin from 6 December 2019 when the hosts take on the Caribbeans at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The West Indian team has a poor record against India in the T20I format and has managed to win only 5 out of the 14 matches played between the two countries. In their last series held in West Indies, India won the series 3-0 on the home turf of West Indies. Therefore, the Caribbean will have a chance at redemption in this Ind vs WI series.
The last West Indies in India ODI series took place in 2018 where the Indian team emerged out victorious by a margin of 3-1 in a 5 match series. Also, in the series played in August 2019, India won the three-match series against West Indies by a margin of 2-0. However, the West Indian and the Indian cricket team are at an equal head to head records as both of them have won 62 matches each out of 130 One Day Internationals played against each other. 2 matches have been ties whereas 4 others have needed in a No Result.
