Match Prediction

The Telugu Titans shocked the home crowd after failing to keep a nine-point lead against the Patna Pirates in their first home game of the season. The Telugu fans witnessed an in-form Rahul Chaudhari after some lacklustre performance in the previous matches.

The star raider troubled the Patna defence with strong raids on both the corners peppering the opponents with diving hand touches. The 23-year old had his first super ten with 11 raid points but unfortunately, Rahul couldn’t beat the Patna defence in the final minute of the game. The in-form skipper could hand a lot of problems to the ineffective Bengal defence led by Nilesh Shinde.

Sandeep Narwal who spent the maximum minutes on the pitch against his old team couldn’t turn the nerve biting match into a win for his team. The 23-year-old faces a strong test against Nitin Madane who looked rusty against U Mumba. The young Vinod on the defensive left cover won some of the extreme battles against the leading raider in Pro kabaddi season 4 Pardeep Narwal. The 18-year-old defender has to come good against the Warriors.

Bengal Warriors, on the other hand look inconsistent and devoid of inspiration. They were involved in fierce encounters where the team struggled to turn the performance into results in the first three games. It is evident that the Bengal team misses their athletic raider Jan Kun Lee. Surjeet Narwal started against U Mumba but never troubled the Mumbai defence which, on occasions has looked uninspiring in the current edition.

The trio of Nitin Madane, Monu Goyat and Ravi Dalal have to break the youth Telugu defence in today’s match.

The most worrying aspect for Bengal is their defence, which consists of some Star names like Nilesh Shinde and Vishal Mane, where the latter never looked close to his best in the new colours. The Skipper Nilesh Shinde who had more than 100 tackle points in a single season need to be consistent when he faces a strong attacking raiders. The 36-year-old along with Girish Ernak will face a stern test against Rahul Chaudhari and Vinoth Kumar.

The head to head is really in favour of Bengal Warriors as it stands 3-2 in the six previous meetings. Both teams head into this one after losing their last game and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

The attacking force of Titans with the in-form Rahul Chaudhari holds a strong edge over the Bengal Warriors.
