Girish Maruti Ernak is an Indian Kabaddi player who plays in the national Kabaddi franchise league, the Pro Kabaddi League. The 27 year old defender will be playing for Puneri Paltan in the 2018 season of Pro Kabaddi League.
Girish was born on 22 December 1992. His talents were discovered by his PT teacher at schedule who encouraged him to participate in the Inter School Kabaddi Tournament. Ever since then, there has been no turning back for Ernak.
When Girish was urged by his PT teacher to participate in the Inter School Kabaddi Tournament, young Girish was completely new to the sport and absolutely clueless. But his playing style struck the eye of his PT teacher who encouraged him to join the sport.
Coming from a humble background Girish neither had knowledge about the basics of the sport, nor money to even afford the diet required for a majorly contact sport like Kabaddi. But Ernak didn't lose hope. He spend his mornings distributing newspaper and used the money he earned to meet his dietary expenditures.
Rise to glory
Girish began his Pro Kabaddi career with Patna Pirates in 2015. He was then bought by Bengal Warriors in 2016. Ernak currently plays for Puneri Paltan since 2017. Paltan has been an excellent defender operating from the left corner and has been a major contributor to his team's success.
Signature Move : Dash
Dashing is a move when the defender sprints across the mat to push the raider out of bounds.
Girish was a part of the India's 2018 Kabaddi Masters Dubai winning team.
