The Puneri Paltan and the Bengal Warriorz will be in action on Sunday (November 24) at the Noida Indoor Stadium for a high-octane Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) battle. The match will begin at 8 pm.

This encounter will be an important opportunity for the Paltan as well as the Warriorz. Both teams have gone winless in their last four matches, with the former registering two losses and two ties, while the latter losing all four encounters.

Despite their recent dip in performances, Pune had begun the season on a high note and currently sit sixth on the points table. Meanwhile, the Warriorz are dealing with a dismal season and have won only three of the 11 matches they've played so far.

As the two teams get ready to battle in match no. 73 of the 2024 PKL, here are three player battles that are expected to impress.

Pro Kabaddi 2024, Puneri Paltan vs Bengal Warriorz: 3 Player battles to watch out for

#1. Pranay Rane vs Mohit Khaler

After spending two seasons with the U Mumba, Pranay Rane is now playing for the Bengal Warriorz. The right raider has been on the mat four times this season and has picked up 12 points, with a strike rate of 41%. In the Warriorz' latest outing against the Telugu Titans, Rane was an incredible force, picking up nine points in 19 raids.

On the other end, Mohit Khaler made his debut for the Puneri Paltan in their most recent match against the UP Yoddhas. The left-corner was an impenetrable wall of the defense, collecting four points. Prior to this, Khaler played for the U Mumba in Season 9 and the Haryana Steelers in Season 10.

2. Pankaj Mohite vs Fazel Atrachali

Pankaj Mohite has been a lethal raider for the Puneri Paltan. The youngster is playing his fifth season for the team and has been clinical on the attack. After collecting 110 points last year, Mohite seems keen to keep that momentum going and has racked up 53 points from the 11 matches he's played in Season 11.

Giving Mohite a run for his money tonight will be Bengal Warriorz’ Fazel Atrachali. One of the best defenders to have graced the mats of the PKL, the Iranian is steering the ship for the Warriorz in his maiden year with the team. As of now, he has picked up 34 points in his 21 outings, with a tackle strike rate of 54%.

#3. V Ajith Kumar vs Hemraj Choudhary

Ajith Kumar has played four matches for the Puneri Paltan this season and has been a fairly consistent performer. Last year, the raider represented the Jaipur Pink Panthers and racked up 82 points in 19 matches.

He's picked up 13 points so far this season in his four outings on the mat. His most impressive performance came against the Telugu Titans, where he picked up six points.

Meanwhile, Hemraj Choudhary is making his PKL debut, playing with the Bengal Warriorz. He's been in action in six matches this year and has picked up eight points. He has scored two Super Tackles and has a tackle success rate of 46%.
