Right then, not the way we wanted the contest to end, but Australia were ahead anyway. So, they are the deserving winners after being in the ascendancy right through the match! So, after tonight's action in Antigua, we shift our focus to St. Lucia where South Africa will take on England in Group 2. Mitchell Marsh (Australia captain): Really happy with the win! I think this is a really strong team that we put together on the park today, but we pick our teams based on the conditions more than anything else, so, can't really say that this is the best eleven. We play again tomorrow, so, it'll be an important game to get ready for!

Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh captain): I think wicket looked really good, and we should have scored at least 170. Playing against this kind of a team, we should have taken more risks. Rishad Hossain came in early to try and take on spin, but unfortunately, it did not work out all that well. I am happy with my own game, but I hope to get better. Our batters had a decent outing today, so we will be up and running for our game against India now.

Pat Cummins (Player of the Match): (Importance of Towhid Hridoy's wicket) Was the set batter, needed to get him. We took wickets at regular intervals. Have a few at junior level but not for Australia until tonight. Joined Ashton Agar and Nathan Ellis who have T20I hat-tricks. Goal was to win the game and the net run-rate is important.

Contrary to how Bangladesh went about their batting, Australia were quick to get on the attack and put the bowling under pressure! Travis Head and David Warner were off the blocks in a flash, taking the pace bowling to the sword, in particular!

Mahedi Hasan bowled decently, but more to curb the runs than take wickets. The only way Bangladesh could win this, was by taking wickets. That just did not happen.

Then came the first rain delay, after which Rishad Hossain bowled beautifully and took two important wickets of Head and skipper Mitchell Marsh. That was the time when Bangladesh looked like getting back in the game.
