Pitch Report
The pitch has been rolled well and it's relatively hard. There will be some seam movement with the new ball especially with the overcast skies. It's a bit difficult to bat here with the slope. The pitch looks good. There won't be much of turn. 150-160 will be a good score here on this surface.

Righteo, that is all from here then. The series is locked at 1-1 and both the teams will be heading to Durham to play the decider on Tuesday (July 22). We will be there to bring you all the action as always. For now, this is Sourabh signing off on behalf of Bidipto and the entire team. Cheers!
Nat-Sciver Brunt (England Women Captain): "Cricket is a funny old game, you try and pass the time as best as you can and then get ready to play. (The spinners) working them out themselves and then coming to me with the fields they needed, I think that was brilliant and I think today we bowled better lengths as a whole, made it difficult for their batters. Everyone is trying to catch them, we can see it in their efforts. Just negotiating the new ball period with the pressure they were put in was brilliant, it sets us up for the rest of the innings and then when I came in there was no pressure. Excited to get to Durham tomorrow, it's a great place to play cricket."
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women captain): "We were unable to bat well today. Yes they bowled well, yes the conditions were not great for batting, but we should have done better. We have made quite a few mistakes, and we have a lot to learn from it. This was just not our day. When we go for our next match, we will be with a positive attitude there to play our best cricket."
Sophie Ecclestone (Player of the Match, 3/27 off 6 overs): "I went to sleep after 10 minutes after warm-up! But, great to get a game out there! Bowling at Lord's is special, and I had a good time of it. I did bowl the one that skids on and the one that spins, so that helped when I bowled at the stumps."

England Women won by 8 wickets and level the 3-match series 1-1
Amy Jones 46*(57) | Sophie Ecclestone 3/27(6) Smriti Mandhana 42(51) | Sneh Rana 1/12(3)
Clearly the better side on the day, England have outplayed India in this rain-curtailed game and have cruised to a win despite all the rain-breaks setting up a mouth-watering series decider in prospect in Durham on Tuesday.
Right from the coin toss, England have got it right against India today. After rain trimmed the game down to 29-overs a side, Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and inserted India into bat first. Em Arlott set the tone in the very first over castling Pratika Rawal with a yorker and it was pretty much all England from thereon. No Indian batter got going on a pitch was was holding up and had some assistance for the spinners. Smriti Mandhana was the top-scorer with 42 but got out after getting set and it was a lone hand towards the end from Deepti Sharma (33*) who got India some respectability. The England spinners were terrific, taking 6 wickets in between them with Sophie Ecclestone bagging 3, Smith 2 and Dean 1 as they restricted India to just 143/8 in 29 overs.
England had a modest chase to look forward to and their openers Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones got them off to the perfect start they could have wished. A 54-run partnership to kick things off just killed the run chase. Beaumont started off with some breezy boundaries and then post her dismissal Amy Jones gained control along with her skipper Nat-Sciver Brunt. Rain teased England for a while but then once play resumed they finished it off clinically and got their first ODI win at Lord's since the 2017 World Cup Final.

20.5 Kranti Goud to Sophia Dunkley, good length around off-stump. Patted on the up to the fielder at cover, no run here.

20.3 Kranti Goud to Sophia Dunkley, full outside off-stump. A mistimed bunt off the front foot to the right of cover. Mid-off mops up though.
20.3 Kranti Goud to Sophia Dunkley, WIDE down the leg-side here again! Good length and wrong line! Dunkley misses the fine tickle here too.
20.2 Kranti Goud to Sophia Dunkley, good length and seaming away around off-stump. Dunkley's late cut from the back foot gets missed. It bounced a bit more too!
20.1 Kranti Goud to Sophia Dunkley, FOUR! Good length and on the pads. An easy clip around the corner off the legs to get it past the outstretched left glove of the keeper.
20 overs have been bowled which means that we will have a result in this game and it is now clear enough that it will be none other than England. Just 8 needed now, this should not take long.
