Brett Lee (Australia Champions captain): It's been fun. Thanks to India, they put up a good competition today. Our guys hit our straps down. (On his son) He's not that little anymore - 6 foot one, but he really enjoys his cricket and he's helping out the boys. The standards of the competition are outstanding, the wickets have been good, the tournament's been outstanding, we're looking forward to a couple more days of it. The guys have prepared very well, everyone's atheletes, done it for 25 years or so. I'll leave the nets to them, on game day the boys are pretty excited while hopping on the bus.

Yuvraj Singh (India Champions captain): Bit hard on us. We bowled pretty well but gave away too many at the death. We ought to take responsibility in the batting as well, lost too many wickets in the powerplay, I couldn't bat through. Credit to Australia, Dan Christian played well. Bit unlucky because two of our main players got injured and Irfan Pathan opened for us. We have to win the game against South Africa for the semis. (On what sport his son - currently on his arms likes more) Well I'm telling him to play more golf than cricket, but hopefully he'll stick to golf.

Daniel Christian [69 (33) & 1/24, Player of the Match]: It was good fun. The wicket was good. The boys got us off to a good start. I haven't been training. It is nice to get back into it. Once you get out there the juices start flowing in the body. It has been a great opportunity for us all to get back together, enjoy each other's company around the hotel, in the team bus and get the competitive juices flowing. So it is a nice experience overall.

India Champions decided to employ Irfan Pathan the batter at the top of the order. He began well, spoiling Brett Lee's first over with a couple of scrappy boundaries, but his stay was short lived. Irfan miscued a big hit off Peter Siddle towards long off, and was brilliantly held by Nathan Coulter-Nile. Uthappa and Raina then went on the charge, neither of them were able to last a quarter of the chase, and the India Champions were on the back foot ever since.

The duo of Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan tried their best in keeping up with the asking rate, but the boundaries just didn't come as often as the India Champions would have desired going into the halfway mark. Yuvraj, in particular struggled to get going - he seemed a lot more sedate during his stay in the middle - might have had something to do with the sprain he suffered in the game against the West Indies Champions, and he nicked behind off Christian first ball after the drinks break.

Yusuf Pathan, though, kicked up a couple of gears as the asking rate slowly began floating away from the India Champions' reach. The former Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders power-hitter launched into an onslaught towards the back-end, finding and clearing the boundary at will, and brought up a half-century of his own.

As it turned out, though, all that effort resulted in reduction of damage to India Champions' Net Run Rate. Australia Champions take the game and march into the semi-finals. Stay tuned for the presentations...
