"Out of the 7 games played at this venue in this tournament, 5 have been won by the teams chasing but it is a fresh surface, the ground staff are happy with the moisture content. Both captains mentioned it is a good surface but it has gotten better and better as the tournament has progressed mainly because of the grass, has held up nicely and I think that will come into play tonight with cooler temperatures. 42 wickets for the fast bowlers and 42 for the spinners as well, the reason for that is the fast bowlers have matched the spinners as they have got swing in the powerplay and taken the pace off. Enough runs for the slower balls to not have that much of an effect. Good surface, runs on the board."

Our bowlers made sure of that and with no dew, we managed to pick up the win with a lot of authority."

I've said before also I do not think too much while batting, if there is something in my arc. I try to win the powerplay for my team. In certain matches, against certain bowlers who can take wicket off the first ball I have my plans of taking them on but in this match there was a fresh wicket and a bit of swing, I wanted to have a look. Me and Shubman decided to have a look. I always have a look at the field and then go for my shots according to the field. I have done a lot of work in the practice sessions, that is the time when a batter can play a lot of balls. When you play too many shots in net you can get out but I try to not get out in the nets."

First things first, India qualify for the Asia Cup, 2025, final!

Sri Lanka are knocked out of the race to the final. And, the game between Bangladesh and Pakistan tomorrow, will decide who faces India in the final on Sunday! It is a winner-take-all match.

This was a tricky pitch to bat on and it was a top-quality Indian bowling attack to deal with! Bangladesh fell prey to both. India rotated the bowlers really well, the bowlers got most things right and the captaincy from Surya Kumar Yadav was pretty impressive too!

The only blip in the Indian effort in the second innings, was the high catching. Not that there weren't moments of brilliance in the field, like the direct hit by Surya to run Jaker Ali Anik out, but, even in 'the ring of fire' lighting system in place here in Dubai, there were quite a dropped catches that needed to be taken without much fuss!

Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav were the bowlers to rock the Bangladesh batting, and, Varun Chakaravarthy taking two wickets is great, in fact, relieving news, for the Indian team management!

Saif Hassan was the only batter to get going. His shots in the air, through the line of the ball, were highlights of his innings! He deservingly reached his fifty. But, he also lived a charmed life, that too needs to be pointed out.

Four changes to the team and Jaker Ali Anik's captaincy debut have not quite gone according to plan for Bangladesh, but they go again tomorrow for the all-important game. What they need, is Litton Das and Taskin Ahmed back in the playing XI.

As for India, it is about being clinical in all three departments and being ruthless, without really making too many changes in the batting order.
