Sam Curran (Player of the Match): "Boys are really happy. The way the table is placed at the moment, knew it was a big game. The way Cox is playing is special. He is hitting the ball so cleanly. He is a nice partner to take pressure off you early. We know that if we focus on our strengths, it will all be good. We keep our focus intact."
9:13 PM Local Time, 1:43 AM IST: Oval Invincibles win by 7 wickets
The Oval Invincibles have done it, chasing down the target with 11 balls to spare! They've solidified their spot at the top of the table, thanks to a simply incredible all-round performance from Sam Curran.
After being put into bat, the Southern Brave's innings was a tale of two halves. They were dismantled early on by the disciplined bowling of the Invincibles. Jason Behrendorff set the tone by taking crucial early wickets, capitalising on the swing. However, the true damage was done by Rashid Khan, who tore through the middle order with a sensational set of three wickets that left the Brave reeling at 44/6. Just as it seemed they would be all out for a paltry score, Jordan Thompson and Hilton Cartwright showed great maturity. They focused on rotating the strike and finding the odd boundary, stitching together a crucial partnership that not only salvaged their innings but also helped them reach a fighting total of 133.
The Invincibles' chase got off to a disastrous start. Southern Brave's bowlers were on fire, with Craig Overton getting the ball to swing beautifully and reducing the Invincibles to a precarious 18/2. The chase was in deep trouble, and the momentum was completely with the Brave.
However, the match turned on its head when Jordan Cox joined Sam Curran. Recognizing the need to shift the momentum, the pair went on a calculated counter-attack. They scored a rapid 27 runs in the two sets after the powerplay. This partnership, which ultimately accumulated 101 runs, completely neutralized the Brave's bowling attack and made the daunting chase look comfortable. Cox, coming off a record-breaking knock in the previous game, scored a superb 56 before his dismissal, while Sam Curran played a perfect anchor role, finishing with a brilliant 50 to see his team across the line.
Sam Curran Scored 50 runs in 32 balls
18.4 Jordan Thompson to Sam Curran, done and dusted! Curran gets to his fifty and Invincibles win. Good length ball angled away to outside off. Curran punched it towards deep cover and came scampering back for the second run.
18.3 Jordan Thompson to Sam Billings, quick single! Good length ball at the stumps. Billings presented a soft-handed dab off the front foot and ran through as the ball rolled towards the leg side. Thompson ran towards it and tried to kick it onto the stumps, but failed.
18.2 Jordan Thompson to Sam Billings, SMASHED FOR FOUR! He charged down the track and belted it to the midwicket boundary. Thompson tried to shorten his length, but failed to get it away from Billings.
18.1 Jordan Thompson to Sam Billings, BEATEN! Hard length delivery from over the wicket, in the channel outside off. Billings once again tried to guide it to third, but failed to connect.

Brave got the big wicket of Jordan Cox, a moral victory for Tymal Mills, but the joy was short-lived. Sam Billings came and responded with a couple of boundaries.
18.0
17.5 Tymal Mills to Sam Billings, EDGED FOR FOUR! Only 7 more needed now. Similar line, a tad fuller. Billings went for the big drive yet again and the ball rather flew to the deep third boundary.
17.4 Tymal Mills to Sam Billings, BEATEN AGAIN! Full ball outside off. Billings went for the expansive drive and only watched the ball zip past his edge.
17.3 Tymal Mills to Sam Billings, FOUR! Good length ball that drifted towards the leg side. Billing flicked it behind square leg.
17.2 Tymal Mills to Sam Billings, BEATEN! Hard length ball from around the wicket, fourth stump line. Billings was looking to run it towards third, but failed to lay bat on ball.

Cox is gone! Are we seeing a comeback from the Braves?
Jordan Cox has been dismissed for 56 runs off 37 balls
17.1 Tymal Mills to Jordan Cox, OUT! Slammed straight to Cartwright, who plucked it out of thin air. Back of a length ball with width on offer. Cox had absolutely belted it. But the aforementioned fielder at cover stretched his arms upwards to capture it.
Tymal Mills is back into the attack and has a long chat with the skipper. He'll need to do something special here.
The partnership between Sam Curran and Jordan Cox has crossed the 100-run mark, and they've completely sealed the deal for the Oval Invincibles. What a stunning turnaround this has been. After losing their openers early, this partnership has shown immense class, maturity, and power to not just stabilize the innings but put the Invincibles on the brink of victory. They now need just 15 runs to win. Can Southern Brave pull off a miracle?
