Arsenal to complete Cedric Soares transfer tomorrow

Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Cedric Soares from Southampton in the next 24 hours, The Athletic's David Ornstein has reported. The full-back, whose contract at St. Mary's Stadium will expire this summer, will sign a £5 million loan deal with the Gunners until the end of the season, with the Saints taking in the wages they would save on the player plus a sizeable loan fee. Meanwhile, the north London giants will be in pole position to buy him on a permanent deal- provided he is a success- when he becomes a free agent in six months.

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for the signing of Bruno Fernandes, the club declared in a press release on Wednesday. The statement reads, "Manchester United are delighted to announce it has reached an agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes. The deal is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms. A further announcement will be made in due course."

West Ham United have completed the signing of Slavia Prague midfielder Tomas Soucek, it was confirmed on Wednesday. The 24-year-old will join the Hammers on an initial six-month loan deal which includes an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.

According to The Telegraph, Hertha Berlin are prepared to pay AC Milan's £25 million ($33m) valuation of Krzysztof Piatek in what could be considered a massive transfer blow to Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The Premier League clubs have been heavily linked with a move for the Poland international and are interested in signing him on a loan deal although the Rossoneri want to sell him outright. Hertha's willingness to pay the Italian giants' asking price for Piatek, however, now means that they are in a highly favourable position in the race for his signature.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Pablo Mari from Flamengo, the London giants confirmed on Wednesday. The defender has signed a loan deal that will keep him at the Emirates until the end of the season and the Gunners will have an option to make the move permanent in the summer. Mari is the Mikel Arteta's first signing since he replaced Unai Emery as Arsenal manager in December last year.

Manchester United have permitted Marcos Rojo to join Argentine outfit Estudiantes in a loan deal for the remainder of the season, Sky Sports has reported. The 29-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has not featured for the first team since November last year. Estudiantes chairman Juan Sebastian Veron is believed to have convinced the defender that he can rebuild his reputation at his boyhood club and could secure enough game-time to help him claim his place in Argentina's Copa America squad.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven, the club confirmed on Wednesday. The 22-year-old signed a four-and-a-half-year deal reported to be worth around £25 million ($33m) with further add-ons. The north London giants have presented him with the number 23 shirt which was previously donned by Christian Eriksen before his move to Inter Milan. The Dutchman will likely make his debut for Spurs when they play host to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday.

Atletico Madrid chief executive Gil Marin has dismissed rumours claiming Thomas Lemar is leaving the club this month. The 24-year-old winger, who has featured 21 times for Los Rojiblancos this season, has been heavily linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Bayern Munich but it appears he is set to stay at the Spanish capital. Speaking to Spox, Marin said, "Lemar is not for sale. There is no way he can change."

Bruno Fernandes says a Premier League move was "always" his preference
Manchester United-bound Bruno Fernandes has stated that moving to the Premier League has "always" been his preference shortly after the Red Devils struck a deal to sign the midfielder on Tuesday. When asked if the English top-flight was his first choice amid reports of a possible move to either Barcelona or Valencia, the 25-year-old simply told Portuguese television station SIC, "It always was."

ICYMI: Manchester United reach €55m agreement to sign Bruno Fernandes

As per The Guardian, Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in a deal worth €55 million (£46.5m) plus €25 million more in add-ons. The Portuguese ace is set to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the option of an additional year. Personal terms are yet to be signed between the player and the Red Devils but it is understood that this will only be a formality. Fernandes is expected to undergo his medical at the club today.
