GRADE FOR WWE NXT FOR JULY 29th, 2025: B-.
The in-ring action wasn't the best this week, with the Wes Lee/Je'Von Evans match being the best offering. The rest were either too short or nothing special. The title pictures feel repetitive, with the same three or four people in each scene. They desperately need to have the draft and commit to more than one guy as the top face.

Before NXT goes off the air, we cut to Tony D'Angelo in his restaurant. He tells the waiter that he no longer needs to be called The Don. He unfolds his napkin, but looks up to see someone. We don't find out who, as it cuts to black.

Page goes for a move off the top, but Santino gets his knees up. He lands some punches and a hip toss, but All Ego rolls out of the ring. He gets back into the ring and pulls out the Cobra. Page pushes the ref in front of him before poking Santino in the eyes. He hits his own cutter for the win.
RESULT: ETHAN PAGE defeats Santino Marella by pin.

GRADE: B-
Too short to make a huge impact. It had some funny moments and a decent flow.

Back in the ring, Santino hits a Stunner and a headbutt for a two-count. Page responds with a kick, but Marella kicks out.

Ava apparently told Nia Jax to just text her next time in a tweet.

Page blasts Santino with a big boot, but Santino fights back with an Aeroplane Spin.

Santino works and gets a few more near falls. Page rolls out of the ring and decks Marella.

The Joe Hendry graphic glitch hits the screen randomly again.

Santino gets three near falls off the bell.

It's main event time as Ethan Page defends the North American Title against TNA's Santino Marella. Will something fishy go down with less than 10 minutes to go???

Before the main event, Fatal Influence struggled to get on the same page following their mixed results in matches. Nia then cuts them off to tell Lash she isn't the most dominant woman in WWE.

Ava, Stevie Turner, and Mr. Stone discuss how neither Ricky Saints nor Jordynne Grace is medically cleared. King walks in and doubles down on Borne being a fake. Ava informs him he'll face Myles next week. Blake Monroe vs. Kelani Jordan and Tatum Paxley vs. Sol Ruca for the NXT Women's North American Title match have also been added. Hank and Tank defend against Chase U by just asking for a title shot.

Vic Joseph interviews Myles Borne about Lexis King. Myles says King is just stirring the pot. He says he was born with a hearing issue, and almost died twice on a helicopter ride to another hospital. He says he needed to be on a ventilator, but that the ventilator contributed to him losing 90% of his hearing.

Dupont gets on the apron to distract Je'Von. Igwe then grabs his foot. Je'Von hits a splash over the top on all three guys. Lee almost rolls him up. He hits the Cardiac Kick, but the count is broken because Evans's foot is on the middle rope. Lee argues with the ref. Evans hits two cutters for the win.
RESULT: JE'VON EVANS defeats Wes Lee by pin.

GRADE: B+.
A lot of high-flying and strikes. When one star beats an entire faction, it's not a good look for that group. Evans needs to land his strikes differently because he looks like he's pawing at his opponent instead of throwing a punch. Other than that, best match thus far.

Lee hits a Tornado DDT, followed by a Brainbuster for a near fall. Wes goes to the top, but it takes forever. It's so Evans can knock him down. Evans lines up for a Coast To Coast move, but he misses it completely. Commentary makes it seem like he hit it. Evans hits a Frog Splash after it, but Lee kicks out.

Lee and Evans exchange roll-ups. Evans slaps Lee before hitting a snap German Suplex. There's too much hesitating here with Lee waiting to get hit. Evans hits a few more strikes before getting a two-count.

Evans blasts Lee with a big boot. He goes to the top, but Lee's cronies get in his face to stop his progress. Lee knocks him down to the outside before hitting a Tope Con Giro.

Evans hits Lee with an over-the-top splash before he even gets in the ring. Lee hits Evans with a dropkick to the back of the head. He misses a standing Shooting Star Press, giving Je'Von an opening. He lands a few chops on Lee.

Backstage, Josh Briggs is angry that Inamura "cost him" a shot at winning the NXT Title last week. Stacks then comes over, but Inamura rushes in to attack Briggs. Inamura tries to tell him that no one has honor in this business, so he needs to learn that. Inamura decks him.

Up next is Wes Lee taking on Je'Von Evans. Trick Williams is on commentary. Great.

Nia sends Lash into the ring and hits her with an Annihilator for good measure. Keep her name out of your loud mouth, Lash!

Henley locks in a Sleeper, followed by a Bulldog. She goes for a move, but Lash catches her. She counters with a Hurricanrana. Lash hits her with some punches and a Fallaway Slam. Fallon goes to the top, but Lash decks her, causing her to fall to the outside. Fallon puts Nyx in front of her, and Lash decks her. Jacy tries to stop her, but is hit with a Pump Kick. As Legend builds momentum, Nia Jax shows up to blindside Lash. Fallon hits a Famouser for the win.
RESULT: FALLON HENLEY defeats Lash Legend by pin.

GRADE: B-.
Some decent chemistry that continued to sow dissension in Fatal Influence. Henley is still one of the better women in NXT, so losing Legend would have been a mistake.

Lash ragdolls Fallon and dumps her on her back. Fallon fights back with a Springboard Blockbuster. She stomps on Legend before hitting a flying facebuster for a near fall.

Fallon goes into the ropes, but the ref doesn't pull Lash off her. She hits a short splash for two, but then a botched graphic of Joe Hendry runs across the screen.

Lash Legend then cuts a brief promo as she heads to the ring. She thinks she's the most dominant woman in WWE since she eliminated Nia Jax and Nikki Bella in a battle royal at Evolution. Okay...

Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame are backstage talking, and Tatum says she thinks she wants a title match with Sol Ruca. Izzi is a bit mad because she didn't pin the champion. Spears then comes over to claim he asked Ava for a title shot for her. They walk off, and the camera pans to Luca Crusifino, who says, "No family lasts forever."

Blake points out that Kelani finally got a personality, which was kind of funny. All four throw hands with Lola and Kelani standing tall.

Jordynne Grace's music hits, but it's not JG, it's Kelani Jordan. The crowd is not pleased. They all have said the same stuff as usual.

Jaida Parker then comes out again to talk.

Lola Vice then comes out to tell her to shut up. She wonders how Blake can be so beautiful but so ugly inside. Star power is about flying across the world to Mexico (not that far) and not taking selfies, but making viral moments. Ok, Lola.

She claims that Grace sees the same bigger person in the mirror, and that she's what a star looks like.

Blake tells Booker T that her name is "Blake Monroe," and he'll end up in a hospital if he doesn't get it right the next time. She claims she attacked Jordynne Grace because she isn't good enough. She lacks personality and is merely an extra, not a star. Footage from Grace's past, when she was a bit bigger, is shown on screen.

Up next is Blake Monroe being glamorous.

Dempsey shakes Tavion's hand before leaving. We go backstage with Wes Lee and Trick Williams, basking in their work. Lee asks Trick if he can get Dupont and Igwe a tag title shot as if they've done anything to earn one.

Dempsey locks in a single-leg crab. Wren looks for something under the ring, but Tavion tries to roll out of the move. He kicks Dempsey to break out before rolling him up for a two count. Tavion hits a leaping lariat and a throw before going for a rolling Death Valley Driver. Dempsey kicks Heights' knee, but Tavion hits him with a Bayley to Belly for the win.
RESULT: TAVION HEIGHTS defeats Charlie Dempsey by pin.

GRADE: B-
The action was decent, but it wasn't anything special. It was more about the outcome of getting to leave if he won.

Heights suplexes Dempsey to break a submission. Dempsey rolls out of the ring and tries to put Wren in the way. He then moves when Heights rushes him. Heights hits his knees against the steel steps.

Je'Von Evans likes to learn things the hard way.

Both men fall after going for a crossbody at the same time.

Dempsey takes control early on, focusing on Tavion's arms. Heights hits a shoulder block.
