Edge pulls out a hurricanrana on the top rope and follows up with the Edgecution. However, the spear is countered with a superkick. Jey Uso quickly goes for the Uso Splash, landing right across Edge's bad ribs. However, he also damages his shoulder, giving Edge the time to recover before the pinfall.

Edge then takes Main Event Jey down for good with an arm wrenching slam to the mat and a spear, sending him to Fastlane.

Edge defeats Jey Uso via pinfall.

Edge stares down Daniel Bryan but turns right into a spear from Roman Reigns. Jey Uso tosses Bryan into the ring, letting Reigns cut him down with a spear as well.

Jey attempts to snap Edge in two by stretching him back across the ring post. Back inside, Edge is able to put a momentary stop to the assault as both men crash into each other with cross bodies. However, that hurt Edge more than Jey. Edge rocks him with a big boot and goes up to Bret's Rope for a diving knee to the arm he's been working on all match.

Jey Uso focuses on the ribs of the Rated R-Superstar with kicks to the sternum before hanging him up over the top rope. Edge is knocked to the floor gasping for air and holding onto his ribs.

Uso manages to take the WWE Hall of Famer to the floor and drives him into the steel steps, following that with a suicide dive. Jey Uso takes over as we head into the final commercial break of the night.

Edge has Uso nearly beat twice in the opening moments, leading to Jey scrambling to the ropes for a break. Edge takes Jey to the mat with a running knee lift before wrapping his left arm up in the ropes.

It's time for your main event. Who will be the special enforcer? Daniel Bryan joins commentary ringside as Edge returns to the ring on SmackDown for the first time in ten years to take on Jey Uso.

Sasha Banks comes out but then walks away, stating that Bianca "has this." Shayna Baszler dominates Bianca Belair early, but is distracted when Nia Jax walks away from her match. Bianca takes advantage with a spinebuster, but they're both attacked by Natalya and Tamina.

It's time for the next match, pitting Bianca Belair against Shayna Baszler. After costing her partner the SmackDown Women's Championship earlier tonight, Baszler hopes to prove herself tonight against the Est. of WWE.

Officials saved Crews from further punishment, allowing him to use the cart to escape.

Big E and Apollo take off their mics and Big E states that there's no need to wait until Sunday. E grabs a golf cart, searching for his challenger. Apollo backs away but is caught by E, leading to the champion getting a taste of the revenge he's hoping for at Fastlane.

Big E and Apollo Crews speak to Michael Cole and Corey Graves from two separate locations. Cole asks if they could ever settle their differences, but the Intercontinental Champion states that is over. All Big E wants is vengeance. He tells Crews to take the next two days to appreciate life as it is, because at Fastlane, E's going to not only retain the gold but leave Crews a broken man.

Crews brings up an old Nigerian proverb he heard from his grandfather. "You fill your mouth with a razor, you'll spit blood." He promises that will happen to Big E at Fastlane. He'll run through Big E and finally have what he truly deserves; the Intercontinental Championship.

Owens says that he saw nothing but proper officiating in that match, leading to Sami blasting him from behind with a Helluva Kick.

Zayn blinds Corbin with a thumb to the eye and rolls Corbin up, using the ropes for a near fall. The ref stops him from taking the turnbuckle pad off, leaving to Corbin pulling him into the End of Days.

King Corbin defeats Sami Zayn via pinfall.

Next up is what WWE themselves have called the least anticipated match of all time. That's uh...hurtful. It's King Corbin vs Sami Zayn. Kevin Owens is at the commentary booth for the match, claiming that Zayn's in a worse headspace than he's ever seen in their years of friendship.

Bryan has faced overwhelming odds before, and states that everyone thinks they’re invincible until they’re not.

He’s not just gonna tap Reigns out, he’s going to break him of all of his wild delusions.

Bryan vows to make Roman Reigns tap out, leading to the Universal Champ and Paul Heyman coming out to the stage.

The Tribal Chief says that nobody can tap him out. In his entire career, he’s never submitted, and that won’t change at Fastlane.

Bryan doesn’t trust either of those men, and knows something that separates himself from Edge. Edge THINKS that he can beat Roman. Bryan knows he can.

Backstage, Kevin Owens says he’s still not sure about Sami Zayn’s documentary. Owens claims Sami is twisting reality, as Sami can’t even say who is responsible for all of his failures.

"They are keeping me down.” “Who is they?”

KO will be ringside for Sami’s match with King Corbin tonight, with Sami hoping Owens will see what he sees.

Rey breaks away from a bearhug by biting Otis. Dominik and Gable tag in, with Dominik rolling up Gable for a near fall.

A tornado DDT spikes Gable, but Otis breaks it up. Otis and Rey fight to the floor ad Dom’s 619 is countered. Gable hits Chaos Theory, and Otis flies across the ring with a big body splash for the win.

Alpha Academy defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio via pinfall.

Otis tags in and flattens Rey like a pancake with a series of big slams.

The Mysterios are immediately out into a match with Alpha Academy.

When we come back from the break, Mysterio counters a superplex and hits a diving senton. A tilt-a-whirl headscissors sends Gable into the ropes for the 619, but Otis prevents the dive by crotching Rey on the top.

Immediately after the match, the Mysterios are confronted by Alpha Academy. Chad Gable talks a lot of trash, but the Academy are sent to the floor where Dominik flies onto them with an incredibly high springboard splash.
