Former UFC lightweight contender Al Iaquinta has weighed in on the beef between Terrance McKinney and Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports.

Earlier this week, McKinney claimed he would decline any future opportunities with Barstool after the digital media company used an image of his KO loss to Ismael Bonfim at UFC 283 in their article.

The title of the piece also suggested McKinney's loss was deserved because he didn't know of Barstool, prompting the 28-year-old to respond:

"This is why I'll never rock with Barstool"

'T.Wrecks' and the author of the article, Robbie Fox, have since traded blows on social media as the UFC lightweight stated Fox was a "trash" journalist who he had no respect for:

"Robbie you acknowledged to everyone but the person you wrote it about that you made a mistake writing the article. You’re a trash journalist. I have zero respect for you"

As the pair continued their beef on Twitter, Al Iaquinta jumped in and suggested that they settle their dispute in the octagon. The 35-year-old also added that the loser of the fight must refrain from tweeting anymore:

"Robbie Barstool I think you guys should fight to settle this"
"Whoever get knocked unconscious in real has to shut the f*ck up on Twitter"

Terrance McKinney channels support from Michael Bisping and vows to come back stronger

Terrance McKinney suffered the second loss of his UFC career at the hands of Ismael Bonfim at UFC 283. Bonfim was making his UFC debut in front of his home crowd and certainly delivered as he landed a stunning second-round flying knee KO.

Terrance McKinney's loss means he is now 3-2 in the UFC, with both of his defeats coming in his last three fights. Now suffering a mix of form in the octagon, the 28-year-old has already planned to make serious changes going forward following messages of support from fighters and fans.

Former middleweight champion Michael Bisping wrote to 'T.Wrecks' on Twitter, stating that the American has much more to give to the UFC:

"That's the game @twrecks155 Don't give up. You've still got a lot more to give this sport. Rest, learn, return."

Echoing Bisping's words, Terrance McKinney vowed to never put in a performance like he did at UFC 283 again:

"Making some big changes for my life. I need to be healthier and I promise to never put on another performance like that again. You have my word. For those that do - thanks for believing in me"
