Belal Muhammad and Sean Strickland have engaged in a bit of an internet spat, with Nina-Marie Daniele being an unknowing catalyst. The social media influencer recently pranked the top-ranked welterweight, by tricking him into saying "Sugondese' as a set up for the popular 'Suck on deez n*tz' response.

While it was dismissed as nothing but harmless fun, Strickland took it upon himself to taunt Muhammad, claiming that 'Remember the Name' would hang his head in shame and walk away if told so in person, only to subsequently talk trash on X/Twitter. He seems to imply that Muhammad avoids confrontation in person.

Naturally, this drew a response from Muhammad, who poked fun at Strickland's lack of finishing ability. He said:

"If sean tells you he's gonna fight you to the death it means he's gonna jab you and play defense for 25 minutes... if Sean sees your a harmless kid or homeless man on his ring camera he's gonna walk out side with a gun and record it to make it seem like he's crazy ...if sean goes on a podcast it probably means he's gonna cry."

While he and Muhammad have history, Strickland doesn't seem to get along with almost any fighter besides Chris Curtis, who he has also jabbed at from time-to-time despite their friendship. Regardless, Muhammad now has greater concerns, as he is scheduled to challenge Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 304.

Belal Muhammad and Sean Strickland are not on good terms

Belal Muhammad and Sean Strickland have had previous clashes. Not long ago, when 'Remember the Name' took to X/Twitter to throw his support behind Palestine in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, he drew a scathing, inflammatory response from Strickland, who has never shied away from controversy.

"This is what you'd call a coward response. Instead of taking a stand against terrorism and advocating for a peaceful resolution you say this dumb sh*t... Ignoring what just happened. Belal you were born in America, you live in America just shut the f*ck up."

Despite being born in the United States, Belal Muhammad is the son of Palestinian parents, and has always expressed his support for Palestine, which even led to him patching things up with former rival Khamzat Chimaev.
