Surging UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell will now reportedly face Ilia Topuria on November 5 after 'Thug Nasty's scheduled opponent Movsar Evloev withdrew from the bout. Evloev recently pulled out of his scheduled main-event clash against Mitchell, citing an undisclosed injury. Mitchell expressed disappointment at being left without an opponent, but it seems Topuria has now come to the rescue.

After an initial report from The MMA Media, Topuria seemingly provided the confirmation on Twitter. 'El Matador' wrote:

"Finally! See you November 5"

Topuria, who had moved up to lightweight for his last outing against Jai Herbert, knows that cutting down to 145 lbs won't be easy given the short notice. The 25-year-old Georgian native wrote in a follow-up tweet:

"Ready to die making weight"

Ilia Topuria is coming off a three-fight knockout streak which tops off an unblemished 12-0 record. 'El Matador' will undoubtedly be a tough test for Mitchell, who is undefeated in the UFC with a near-perfect 15-1 overall record.

ESPN Deportes had previously reported that Topuria was willing to serve as a replacement for Evloev.

Bryce Mitchell goes off on Movsar Evloev

Bryce Mitchell wasn't happy with Movsar Evloev pulling out of their scheduled headliner clash. In a Twitter video, Mitchell went off on the Russian for pulling out after all the trash talk in the build-up.

'Thug Nasty' complained of being harassed and bullied by Evloev over social media. The 28-year-old said:

“He says all these things on me on social media about how I’m a coward, and I’m a dumba*s, and this and that, and that and this. I’ve never been so harassed in my life. … So you can say what you want, but when it comes down to it, this guy was ready to go.
All them words, that’s f*ckin’ cheap, man. Them words don’t mean a f*ckin’ thing. I was going to show up and give you a piece of my mind. And it wasn’t going to be in English, buddy. It was going to be with these (fists).”

Left without an opponent, Mitchell even addressed a previous callout from fellow up-and-comer Sodiq Yusuf.
