Chase Hooper's nickname is 'The Dream'. The featherweight fighter from Enumclaw, Washington, was once called 'The Teenage Dream'.

Hooper will make his sixth appearance in the promotion at UFC Fight Night 213. He will face Steve Garcia on the event's preliminary card. 'The Dream' is currently 3-2 in the UFC and has an overall MMA record of 11-2-1.

Hooper was previously referred to as 'The Teenage Dream' as he began his amateur MMA career while still in high school. He was 18 years old when he started competing professionally. He dropped the word 'Teenage' from his moniker when he turned 20 in 2019.

Hooper has illustrious grappling credentials with five submission victories in his career, including a heel-hook finish over Peter Barrett. 'The Dream' has a black belt in jiu-jitsu under Jeff Hougland, which he received after 13 years of training.

Chase Hooper will make his sixth UFC appearance against Steve Garcia in the prelims of UFC Fight Night 213. The featherweight prospect is a -210 betting favorite in the bout.

'The Dream' is coming off a third-round TKO win against Felipe Dias Colares at UFC Fight Night 206. All his wins in the UFC have come by way of finishes - two technical knockouts and one submission victory. His two career losses have come at the hands of Alex Caceres and Steven Peterson, both by way of unanimous decision.

Chase Hooper made his professional debut in 2017 at the age of 18 where he beat Edson Penado via submission in the first round.

Meanwhile, Steve Garcia is coming into the bout with a 1-2 record in the UFC. He was knocked out by Hayisaer Maheshate in his last fight at UFC 275.

Before joining the UFC, Garcia fought against Desmond Torres in Dana White's Contender Series 25 in 2019. He won the fight via TKO in the first round but wasn't awarded a contract. He eventually made his promotional debut against Luis Pena the following year at UFC Fight Night 169, where he lost via unanimous decision.
