Michael Chandler still interested in fighting Conor McGregor
Michael Chandler was scheduled to lock horns with Conor McGregor at UFC 303 in 2024. However, McGregor withdrew from the bout because of a toe injury. Since then, Chandler has fought twice and lost both bouts. Meanwhile, McGregor's UFC return remains uncertain.
Recently, 'Iron' took to X and called out the Irishman for a bout next year in Jan.
Again, in a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Chandler reaffirmed that he still wants to fight McGregor and complete 'The Ultimate Fighter 31' in which McGregor and him served as opposing coaches in 2023. 'Iron' said:
"If me and Conor are supposed to fight, and he's supposed to come back, it's gonna happen, and I don't need to force it. With that being said, if I'm a betting man, I'm not sure if he comes back. Do I want to fight him? Do I want to finish 'The Ultimate Fighter 31'? Absolutely. So, we'll see man."
