Dan Hooker isn't worried about running into Jon Jones at UFC 285

Dan Hooker is set to take on Jalin Turner at UFC 285, but he may be involved in more than one altercation during fight week if he crosses paths with Jon Jones.

Jones will be making his much-anticipated UFC return after three years outside the octagon. In the main event, he'll meet Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title.

Hooker and Jones have exchanged words online several times over the past few years, most notably during the domestic violence case that 'Bones' went through in late 2021.

During a recent interview with TheMacLife's Oscar Willis, 'The Hangman' was asked to share his thoughts about the possibility of sitting next to Jon Jones at the UFC 285 press conference.

Dan Hooker said this:

"Yeah I don't really give a s**t about that. That's background noise, that is what it is. Mate, I've been talking s**t my whole life, you know what I mean? This is not the first time I'm gonna bump into someone I've talked s**t to."

Dan Hooker will be hoping to continue his momentum against Jalin Turner after producing a strong rebound performance against Claudio Puelles at UFC 281.

He suffered a series of tough defeats to top contenders Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler before defeating Nasrat Haqparast in 2021. Hooker then lost to Islam Makhachev and Arnold Allen before securing a much-needed win against Puelles.

With a win against Turner, Hooker willmost likely be thrust back into the top 10 of the division.

Dan Hooker wants to be a "special guest catcher" for Power Slap League

Dana White's recent creation, the Power Slap League, has caused a divide amongst MMA fans and fighters. Many have labeled the 'sport' as a one-way ticket to traumatic brain injury, and the new show has garnered heavy criticism from the likes of Ariel Helwani.

But several fighters, including Dan Hooker, appear to enjoy the slapping contest. 'The Hangman' recently took to Twitter to declare the Power Slap League his new favorite show, for which he received immediate backlash.

During the same interview, Hooker doubled down on his earlier statement. 'The Hangman' also expressed interest in being a "special guest catcher," which would see him responsible for catching a PSL competitor if they were knocked out.

Dan Hooker said:

"Can I be a special guest catcher? Can I be a special guest? I'll put my hand up right now. Can I be a crash-pad catcher? Yeah I really want this."
