YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has once again fired shots at Irish superstar Conor McGregor on social media. 'The Notorious' uploaded a tweet where he hailed himself as the king of knockouts.

McGregor later deleted the tweet but not before it caught Paul's attention. 'The Problem Child' posted a picture of Dustin Poirier knocking out McGregor with a caption that poked fun at the Irishman.

"Yes Dustin knocked you the f out and put you to sleep. All hail the king," wrote Jake Paul.

Dustin Poirier remains the first and only MMA fighter to score a knockout victory against 'The Notorious'. McGregor and 'The Diamond' shared the octagon on three separate occasions.

Their first fight took place in September 2014, when the Irishman made quick work of Poirier and knocked him out in the first round. Six years later, in their second meeting at UFC 257, Poirier returned the favor by handing 'Mystic Mac' the first knockout loss of his professional MMA career.

To put the rivalry to rest, the two lightweights met again at UFC 264. In that fight, McGregor suffered a gruesome leg injury in the final moments of the first round. The fight was halted, and 'The Diamond' was declared the winner by TKO via doctor stoppage.

What's next for Jake Paul and Conor McGregor?

Many MMA fans are eager to see Conor McGregor back inside the octagon. Although no official announcement regarding a fight has been made, the Irishman has expressed interest in competing this year in the UFC.

Jake Paul, on the other hand, is expected to take on Tommy Fury on February 25.

Paul and Fury have been scheduled to fight twice before, but both times, the matchup fell through due to 'TNT' pulling out.

But it appears that the third time might be the charm, and fans might finally get to witness the intriguing showdown between the two. One factor that adds to the excitement for this fight is that both Fury and Paul are undefeated in their boxing careers. Fury is 8-0 as a boxer with four knockouts, and Paul has won all six of his fights, four of them via KO.
