Stamp Fairtex returns at ONE 167 to face an opponent that she already knows well despite this being their first contest against one another.

Facing off with former sparring partners isn't unlikely when it comes to the elite level of MMA, where building a stable of fighters means bringing in top talent to work together.

On June 7 at the Impact Arena, the atomweight MMA world champion will look to defend her title for the first time when she takes on Denice Zamboanga.

Along with their previous experiences training together, the defending champion has also benefited from having current partners that she can use to emulate the style of her challenger.

One of those main assets is atomweight contender Jihin Radzuan, who spoke about the camp during a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA:

"Yeah, I guess. That's what I've been up to. I have more or less a very similar style to Denice. So, yeah. I've been helping Stamp get ready by trying to fight or spar as much as her next opponent."

Stamp Fairtex will come in well-prepared for June 7

With Radzuan helping her in the gym to become familiar with what facing Zamboanga will be like on fight night, Stamp Fairtex is sure to come in confident at ONE 167.

There are never too many question marks when it comes to the approach of the Thai superstar thanks to her elite striking background.

Dealing with her world-class stand-up skills, however, is a task that is far easier said than done.

As much as the champion has been working to familiarize herself with her opponent, Zamboanga will face a very difficult challenge in trying to solve the striking game of the defending champ.

Former training partners clash in the main event as only one of them can leave Bangkok with the atomweight title.

ONE 167 will air live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 7.
