Jon Jones questions Tom Aspinall’s silence toward legends, The Brit fires back over title talk

Once more, reigning UFC heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones has taken a light-hearted jab at interim champion Tom Aspinall, and Aspinall has clapped back.

With the UFC heavyweight title unification bout still not finalised, Jones, who has been reluctant about fighting Aspinall, now wants the Brit to find another opponent.

In a recent post on X, while replying to a fan who wants both 'Bones' and Aspinall to be stripped of their respective titles, Jones, not pleased with Aspinall for not calling out "the studs" but instead calling him out despite the American UFC champion being 37 years old, said:

"There's an interesting take! Sh*t, I’m 37 years old now. My body hurts everywhere if I’m being honest. Funny how Tommy boy talks zero s*it to the studs of his generation. Barely even mention their names."

Aspinall replied to Jones’ remarks via Threads, writing:

"I want the undisputed title 👍 think Jon’s forgot he’s got it 👴"

Aspinall has recently stated that Jones is retired, and hence, he is ready to take the division forward. The 32-year-old also claimed to have a date and location for his next UFC fight, which will be announced soon.

Jon Jones does not want to give Tom Aspinall "the chance"

Jon Jones has disclosed once more that the UFC has long been aware of his plans and that he has not trained since his last UFC 309 bout against Stipe Miocic.

Meanwhile, a fan asked Jones on X how he would beat Tom Aspinall in a potential bout. The fan wrote:

"How would you defeat Tom?"

'Bones' replied by stating he doesn’t want to give Aspinall the chance.

"By not even giving him the chance"
