UFC flyweight Manon Fiorot is set to take a major step up in competition when she makes her first pay-per-view appearance at UFC 280 this Saturday. The French fighter will take on former title challenger Katlyn Chookagian.

According to the UFC's official fighters' page, Chookagian stands taller at 5'7" (69 inches) compared to Manon Fiorot, who is 5'6" (67 inches). The American has a 68-inch reach, which gives her a two-inch advantage over her French opponent, who has a reach of 65 inches.

As for their weight, 'Blonde Fighter' tipped the scales at 125.5 pounds for her latest bout against Amanda Ribas this past May. 'The Beast', on the other hand, weighed in at 125 pounds for her clash against Jennifer Maia in March.

Chookagian has been with the UFC for more than six years, having made her debut in July 2016 at UFC Fight Night 91. The 33-year-old boasts a 11-4 record inside the octagon, with her overall MMA record standing at 18-4.

Manon Fiorot, meanwhile, is a relative UFC newcomer who made her promotional debut in January 2021. She has since amassed a 4-0 promotional record. The 32-year-old has an overall MMA slate of 9-1.

Can Manon Fiorot overcome the challenge of Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 280?

Manon Fiorot has taken the UFC flyweight division by storm. The French fighter has been in just four bouts and already finds herself inside the top 10 at 125 pounds, sitting in the No.7 spot.

The French striker will make her first UFC pay-per-view appearance when she takes on former title challenger Chookagian at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. A statement performance from 'The Beast' could instantly catapult her into title contention.

Ranked No.1 in the division, Katlyn Chookagian will be the biggest challenge Fiorot has faced thus far. The American has been on a roll as of late with four straight victories. 'Blonde Fighter' edged out Amanda Ribas in May after notching a decision victory over Jennifer Maia in January.

However, Chookagian hasn't finished a fight since 2016. Fiorot, on the other hand, has looked extremely sharp with her striking, having finished three of her last four opponents inside two rounds.

The Frenchwoman will look to carry that momentum into her next bout at UFC 280 on Saturday.
