Mateusz Gamrot has been training with Bo Nickal ahead of his UFC 280 return in Abu Dhabi next weekend.

During a recent conversation with James Lynch, 'Gamer' discussed his upcoming lightweight matchup with Beniel Dariush and getting to work with UFC sensation and American Top Team (ATT) teammate Bo Nickal while preparing for the fight.

Gamrot also heaped praise on the new UFC signee for his tremendous performances on Dana's White's Contender Series (DWCS) season 6.

Here's what the 31-year-old said:

"Sometimes we meet in American Top Team (ATT), we train together. He's wrestler, I'm wrestler too and we have the same vibes. I'm really excited because he's a real monster, he's a real beast that he showed two times in the Dana White's Condender [Series]."

Bo Nickal made a lot of noise during his collegiate wrestling days. The wrestling standout is a three-time NCAA national wrestling champion at Penn State.

The 26-year-old competed twice in Dana White's Contender Series. His first win came over Zachary Borrego via rear-naked choke submission in August followed by a triangle choke submission finish of Donovan Beard in September.

Bo Nickal set to make UFC debut at UFC 282 on December 10

Bo Nickal earned a UFC contract with his latest win over Donovan Beard. The wrestling standout truly impressed in the bout as it only took him 52 seconds to submit his opponent.

Nickal is now gearing up for his official UFC debut, which is set to take place on December 10 in Las Vegas. The middleweight sensation will take on Jamie Pickett on the UFC 282 pay-per-view.

Interestingly, Nickal called for a fight with the No. 3-ranked welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev for his promotional debut. However, the UFC did not express any interest in the matchup.

Meanwhile, Jamie Pickett is also a product of DWCS. 'The Nightwolf' made three appearances on DWCS, two of which were unsuccessful. Pickett had an unsuccessful 0-2 start to his promotional career and is coming off back-to-back losses. The 34-year-old was finished in both of his last two fights and is 2-4 under the promotional banner.
