Aljamain Sterling is openly skeptical of T.J. Dillashaw going into their UFC 280 co-headliner clash. The UFC bantamweight champ believes there is no reason to rule out the possibility of someone who's once used PEDs using it again.

However, Sterling believes Dillashaw potentially using PEDs could play out in his favor if he can beat the former champ. 'Funkmaster' thinks that besting a potentially cheating Dillashaw will be an added feather to his cap, promoting him to 'superhuman' status. The 33-year-old said in an interview with BT Sport:

"I don't think anyone who gets caught should be in the sport, personally. Because what's to stop them from doing it again? We've seen people get popped multiple times... That's all I'm saying. So, don't blame me for having the speculation... It is what it is. If he's doing it and I beat him, you know that makes it all that much better. Maybe I'm superhuman. So more of a feather in my cap."

Aljamain Sterling is baffled by Dana White's praise of T.J. Dillashaw

T.J. Dillashaw tested positive for EPO in 2019 during an in-competition test while attempting to cut down to flyweight. Despite being stripped of his title and handed a two-year ban, Dillashaw has returned and earned another shot at the throne.

UFC president Dana White recently praised the former bantamweight champ for handling the EPO episode "like a man." However, Aljamain Sterling wasn't impressed by White's praise for someone caught using PEDs. 'Funkmaster' noted that there was nothing 'manly' about the affair as Dillashaw was caught rather than him owning up. The 33-year-old said during the UFC 280 media day:

“Very strange, man. Dana’s an interesting cat. I like Dana a lot, but some of the things I just have to wonder his reasoning and rationale. Like, you’re praising a guy who got caught and saying he did it the right way and did it like a man. What about that was manly? The guy got caught. He didn’t come clean, Dana. I’m just — I don’t get it. I think it’s a very odd thing to say.”
