Welcome to today's edition of Sportskeeda's daily MMA News Roundup, where we present the biggest UFC updates and other stories from the world of mixed martial arts.

In today's issue, we talk about the accused killer of Will Harris' daughter facing indictment, Dana White writing a heartwarming post for a late fan, and more.

#3. Will Harris' stepdaughter's killer could face death penalty

Ibraheem Yazeed, the man accused of killing UFC heavyweight fighter Will Harris' 19-year-old stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard, has been indicted on three counts of capital murder in Alabama. The news was first reported by AL.com after Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall made the announcement on Tuesday.

Yazeed was indicted by a grand jury on charges of capital murder during kidnapping, capital murder during a robbery, and capital murder involving a victim in a vehicle. If found guilty, he faces the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole for each of the charges.

The 32-year-old suspect was arrested in November 2019 and has been held without bond since.

Blanchard went missing on October 23, 2019, after visiting a convenience store in Auburn, Alabama. Surveillance footage showed Yazeed at the same location. He was out on bond on separate charges, including one for attempted murder and kidnapping. Blanchard's remains were found a month later in a Macon County wooded area.

Blanchard's murder caused a stir in the local community and led to Alabama lawmakers introducing a bill named after her that would allow judges to deny bail for multiple capital crimes.

#2. Dana White writes heartfelt letter to devoted UFC fan who passed away

Dana White is known to give deserving fans an opportunity at enjoying UFC events. In a tear-jerking post made on Thursday night, White penned a tribute to a young fan who passed away yesterday after attending UFC 281.

White revealed that he met 16-year-old Michael at UFC 279 thanks to his friends and family who set up a GoFundMe account for the fan to attend the event. He loved interacting with the kid and invited him to the Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira headliner. Michael got to sit behind Mike Tyson, who also interacted with him and clicked pictures.

"Amazing, incredible, beautiful little Michael passed away today and I'm f***in devastated. He held on long enough to make the event and I just want to thank EVERYONE involved with Saturday Night that made his weekend special."

#1. Darren Till narrates gruesome eye injury suffered during training

Darren Till has garnered a reputation for hurting himself in training sessions and eventually withdrawing from scheduled fights. Even though it has happened only a couple of times, MMA social media has made quite the joke out of it.

Till recently posted a gnarly eye injury on his social accounts that got fans wondering if he will pull out once again from the UFC 282 fight against Dricus du Plessis. It didn't help that hawk-eyed personalities like Chael Sonnen suggested the same as well.

Appearing on close friend Michael Bisping's podcast Believe You Me, 'The Gorilla' detailed how he sustained the injury and also fired shots at Sonnen for his comments:

"We were wrestling. And I was wrestling this big guy and he's f***ing great. I shot in for a takedown and I swear Mike, his finger went to the back of my brain. I felt it hit my brain, I felt sick. Immediately I couldn't see - blood was pouring out of it."

Till said that he wanted to carry on wrestling, but was stopped by teammates. The Brit then took a shot at 'The American Gangster':

"And then Chael Sonnen starts saying, 'This is like an indicator Till is going to pull out the fight.' I'm like, 'Chael, shut the f*** up mate with your little podcast.' Cause lad he's scared of me, Chael, cause I threatened to put his number up like I did Ariel's (Helwani). No one wants smoke... no one wants that."
