The abduction of UFC strawweight contender Angela Hill's grandparents by aliens in the early 1960s was the first widely publicized report of an alien abduction in the United States. Netflix and former US president Barack Obama's Higher Ground Productions have joined hands to bring this story to the masses.

White Mountains is the rumored title of a forthcoming feature film that will be based on the experiences of Barney and Betty Hill, a couple from the 1960s who say they were abducted by aliens.

Angela Hill, during an episode of The Hard Times podcast, revealed that her grandparents, Barney and Betty Hill, were involved in a high-profile extraterrestrial abduction case.

The UFC strawweight wants to be associated with the movie in any capacity possible. Even if it means essaying the role of her grandmother or playing a background character. She took to Twitter to express her interest and wrote:

"I mean can I get a background role or something? I can play my nana, my grandfather’s first wife."

According to the legend, Barney and Betty Hill, the UFC fighter's grandparents, were returning from their honeymoon in Montreal on September 19, 1961. As they traveled into the White Mountains of New Hampshire, they reported being followed by what felt like a spotlight. Eventually, they stopped and reported seeing a ship floating above their vehicle.

Becky Leigh and Mario Kyprianou, who collaborated on 2014's The Republic of Rick, will pen the film's script.

Fans react to UFC contender Angela Hill expressing interest in essaying her grandmother's role in the new Netflix project

The account of Barney and Betty Hill, an American couple who claimed they were abducted by extraterrestrials on September 19 and 20, 1961 in a rural area of New Hampshire, is apparently coming to streaming giant Netflix.

Their granddaughter, UFC strawweight contender Angela Hill, has expressed her desire to portray the role of her grandmother in light of the latest news.

Several fans backed Hill to essay the role and hopped on the Twitter thread to voice their support. UFC lightweight contender Terrance McKinney wrote:

"@netflix @obama make it happen."

Another fan made the case for Hill to be associated, at least on a consultancy basis:

"@BarackObama @netflix come get your girl! She’s related! She deserves a role! Consulting job? Something??"

Yet another fan pleaded with Hill to expand on the fascinating historical account.

"Angie, Please 🙏 share what continuing contact & experience did Betty and u or anyone else in family have after famous case? Betty alluded 2 continuing experiences/contact from back porch where u could see things. But no one followed up. This is after the famous visit by beings."
