"Nothing surprises me anymore" - Anderson Silva answers if being the betting favorite against Jake Paul means anything to him

Anderson Silva will face Jake Paul in a boxing match at the Gila River Arena, Arizona on October 29. The former UFC middleweight champion is a -150 favorite on some sportsbooks going into his clash against the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

However, Silva claims to be uninterested by the betting odds ahead of his upcoming fight. Having witnessed several ups and downs over his extensive career, 'The Spider' doesn't take betting odds very seriously.

Silva isn't putting any pressure on himself and is merely focused on putting on a show for his fans. Asked if his status as the favorite means anything to him, the 47-year-old said in an interview with TMZ Sports:

"I don't put in this in my mind. I'm just training hard everyday and push me hard everyday. Because fighters fight. I have the good and the bad experience inside the combat sports. I lose, I win, I broke my leg, I fight with my ribs broken. Nothing surprises me anymore. But I training hard for win. That's good for me because I don't put pressure in my back. I just go to enjoy and try to do something special for my fans and for the new generation and my generation too."

When Silva opened up as the underdog against Paul, people piled on 'The Spider', quickly raising him to a favorite. However, the scales have since turned on some sportsbooks and continue to fluctuate.
