Ryan Garcia's stunning win over Devin Haney, which will arguably go down as the biggest boxing upset of the year so far, has earned him praise from Conor McGregor. The Irishman, who is a supporter of the lightweight knockout artist, took to X to laud him for his efforts.

His positive reception of Garcia's hard-fought win is defined by McGregor's newfound religious streak, which mirrors Garcia, who has become a more devout Christian over the years. In a lengthy post, the Irishman praised Garcia and expressed excitement over Garcia's future.

He wrote:

"God speed to both men and teams in this crazy world and congrats Ryan Garcia! Tonight is your night, I knew when you fought Tank that this guy was electric. Even in defeat. I went backstage after he'd been stopped to the body last time out. Only his close people were present. A win or a loss will never make or break a person to me."

According to McGregor, great things await Garcia in his future. While he beat Haney this evening, Garcia was ineligible to win the WBC super lightweight title on account of his weigh-in failure. That, however, could be rectified in a rematch, especially if McGregor is anticipating greatness in Garcia's future.

"When you know, you know. Fighters know. The real know. God knows! Now the real fight happens for the young man, too! Stay strong kid, believe in the Lord's guidance and keep it tight like frogs *ss in Versace lad hahaha yes!"

Garcia was considered a large underdog ahead of the Haney bout, especially due to his erratic behavior during the leadup. However, with several knockdowns and having rocked Haney at various points throughout the bout, he won via majority decision, earning widespread praise online.
