In a recent video uploaded by BT Sport, Paddy Pimblett can be seen taking in the atmosphere at the iconic Anfield football stadium. The Liverpudlian insists he will fill up the arena if and when the UFC decides to visit.
The 27-year-old has been a lifelong Liverpool supporter and, like Darren Till, hopes to one day fight under the UFC banner at the renowned stadium. He is no stranger to fighting in his hometown. However, competing in front of a packed Anfield is a dream Pimblett hopes will come true.
The UFC lightweight claims that he'll easily sell out the much bigger Wembley, let alone the home of Liverpool Football Club:
"What's the capacity now, 56/57,000? And then, what, another 10,000 on the floor, with the cage and that. Light work that, 65,000. I'd sell Wembley out lad, never mind Anfield."
Furthermore, the former Cage Warriors featherweight champion says that even without a title on the line, he can sell out an increased-capacity Anfield once the construction of the new stand is complete:
"Once this stand's done and there's an extra 10,000 there lad, we'd get about 70,000, 80,000 people in here, easy. Without a title on the line, without anything major, I could fill this out anyway, that's a fact."
His dream of fighting at Anfield may come true one day. However, for now, Paddy Pimblett is set to make his UK debut under the UFC banner next weekend in London.

Despite only having one fight in the promotion, Paddy Pimblett has already garnered a lot of attention after claiming he's the new "cash cow" in the octagon interview after his debut.
At the O2 Arena in London on March 19, the jiu-jitsu black belt will attempt to rise through the lightweight rankings with another standout result against the dangerous Rodrigo Vargas.
Pimblett's 36-year-old opponent has 10 finishes in his 12 pro wins and has never been knocked out in his career. While 'The Baddy' is a problematic striker, his expertise on the ground could serve him well in this bout and a win here could fast-track him towards UFC gold.
