Tony Ferguson aimed jibes at Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov in a recent Twitter spree. 'El Cucuy' also referred to the Irishman's alleged steroid usage in the said tweets.

The former interim lightweight champion joined in on the fiery Twitter exchange sparked by Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. With the news that Poirier had been admitted to the hospital with a staph infection, McGregor wasted no time firing shots in his direction.

This sparked a wide Twitter tussle as Nate Diaz, Tony Ferguson, and several other stars joined in. Ferguson first aimed a dig at 'The Notorious', claiming that McGregor is "still looking for his sauce," referring to recent reports that the Irishman hasn't been tested by USADA this year:

“Guess What🐫Day It Is!?! 💭 It’s Mcnugget🥇Monday💪😆MF’as!!! ” Bet’cha Jolly Ol’ Mcnacker Is Still Lookin’ For His🫧Sauce *mack* 🤦‍♂️ Remember Crew🍃 Keep Your Stick On The🧊Ice & Don’Let’Chur Meat🍖Loaf 💯 - Champ 🎅 -CSO- 🇺🇸🏆🇲🇽 Season’s☃️Beatings & # Jingle🎅Jangle # Nah🤷‍♂️Mean"

Tony Ferguson was last seen inside the octagon against Nate Diaz at UFC 279. Ferguson lost the fight via submission in the fourth round and has since spent time carrying out his aspirations to pursue a business degree at Harvard University.

Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager comes out in defense of Joe Rogan's comments that Conor McGregor cheated in their fight at UFC 229

Conor McGregor recently went on a profanity-filled Twitter rant directed at UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.

McGregor took offense to Rogan for pointing out illegal strikes that the Irishman landed on Khabib Nurmagomedov in their grudge match at UFC 229. The 34-year-old posted a recording of himself lobbing insults at Rogan, calling him a "fool":

Everyone in the MMA community is aware of the tension between Nurmagomedov's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, and McGregor. The two have been at each other's throats since 2018 when the 'Eagle' was supposed to face off against the former UFC two-division champion.

Abdelaziz recently addressed McGregor's criticism of Rogan by advising 'The Notorious' to "stop doing drugs":

“Joe didn’t lie you was cheating the whole fight, grabbing the shirt, grabbing the glove’s knee from the bottom and you still get your a** whooped stop doing drugs”
