Conor McGregor is looking healthy and fit in his latest injury update on social media.

'The Notorious' could be edging closer to his highly anticipated return after actively treating his followers with positive updates on his recovery.

In a recent Twitter post, the former UFC two-division champ revealed that his latest visit to the doctors went well:

"Great day at the doctors today, team! Everything back on schedule! Thank you all for the love and support, Stay ready"

McGregor suffered a devastating leg injury during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. He has since undergone a number of surgeries but is looking forward to his comeback.

While still sidelined, the Irish MMA superstar was already talking about a lightweight title fight upon his return. UFC president Dana White is not averse to the idea, saying that if the champion Charles Oliveira is interested then that fight is a possibility.

However, the Brazilian will first have to get past Justin Gaethje in his second title defense at UFC 274. The fight is scheduled to take place at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on May 7.

Jake Paul proposes a one and done UFC fight with Conor McGregor

Prior to posting the latest update on his recovery, Conor McGregor was already working out. Last year, he posted pictures on Instagram where he's clearly bulked up. Furthermore, it seems 'Mystic Mac' has started training for his return, as evidenced by his social media posts.

McGregor recently posted a video of him hitting the pads and working on his boxing combinations. Unsurprisingly, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul reacted to the clip which led to a back-and-forth between the pair.

Paul heavily criticized the Irishman's boxing skills. The UFC star responded by simply calling him a "Jacka**" in another video. 'The Problem Child' has now proposed a McGregor vs. Paul one-fight deal with the UFC in a recent post:

"Dana [White] - Since you like me now, how about a 1 fight UFC deal to fight Conor. If I win, you agree to my UFC fighter pay and healthcare proposal. If I lose I donate my entire purse to all UFC fighters who make less than $50K a fight and never mention UFC again. Deal?"
