Social media influencer Hasbulla Magomedov and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski engaged in a mock fight backstage at a UFC 280 fight week event.

Hasbulla jestingly attacked Volkanovski, following which, the latter lightheartedly conceded defeat. The Dagestan native later took away the UFC featherweight belt and posed with it over a downed Volkanovski.

Hasbulla recently signed a five-year contract with the UFC. UFC president Dana White subsequently confirmed that while Hasbulla has indeed been signed to the UFC, whether or not he fights in the organization remains to be seen.

In a video posted to Alexander Volkanovski's official YouTube channel, the featherweight kingpin harked back to a previous skit featuring himself and Hasbulla. It showed the internet personality smashing a burger in Volkanovski's face.

Speaking of which, 'The Great' jokingly asserted that he'll exact revenge on Hasbulla for the same. The camera then panned towards the door, with Hasbulla making his way into the room. He proceeded to launch a mock offensive on Alexander Volkanovski.

Hasbulla attacked the No. 1-ranked pound-for-pound UFC fighter with punches, elbows, and knees until 'Volk' admitted his defeat. Moreover, Hasbulla took the Australian fighter's UFC featherweight championship belt and posed over him with it.

Charles Oliveira reveals his two-step offer for Alexander Volkanovski heading into 2023

Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira is set to face Islam Makhachev for the vacant UFC lightweight title at UFC 280 on October 22nd. Meanwhile, Alexander Volkanovski is the backup/replacement fighter for the matchup in case Oliveira or Makhachev withdraw from it due to injury/other reasons.

UFC head honcho Dana White recently suggested that Volkanovski would likely receive the next UFC lightweight title shot and fight the Oliveira-Makhachev matchup winner in early 2023. During the UFC 280 media day, Oliveira touched upon the aforesaid possibility and unraveled his two-step proposal for 'Volk.'

'Do Bronx' highlighted that he's currently focused on beating Makhachev at UFC 280. That said, he indicated that he'd love to defend the lightweight title against Volkanovski at UFC 283 in Brazil in January 2023. Nevertheless, Oliveira didn't stop there. He claimed that he'll beat 'Volk' in Brazil and then face him again, this time for the featherweight title at UFC 284 in Australia in February:

"If we're gonna make this happen against Volkanovski, we're going to have it two ways. We're gonna at 70 [kg] [lightweight], and then we're going to fight at 66 [featherweight] at the end of the year... I can fight there [Australia] in February, but for his belt."
