Jon Jones' return is on the horizon

Jon Jones has officially finished his final hard training session for his upcoming heavyweight title fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.

In a video uploaded to Henry Cejudo's YouTube channel, Jones and his teammates can be seen finishing off training camp with a high-intensity core workout. The footage shows the 35-year-old leading his team through back-to-back core exercises including leg flutters, crunches, planks and more.

Soon after the workout, the former light heavyweight kingpin shared his appreciation for his teammates for helping him prepare for the fight and promised to bring his A-game next weekend:

"Thank you guys so much man. You guys have been so committed, so loyal. You guys have been on time... I owe it to you guys to get out there and give it my absolute all, and that's exactly what I'm going to do, my absolute freakin all. I thank you guys so sincerely, for creating one of the greatest teams I've ever been a part of. I love you guys."

Jones is returning to MMA after a three-year layoff. He was last seen at UFC 247 in 2020, when he defeated Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision to retain his light heavyweight strap, which he vacated just months later.

He will attempt to become a two-division champion when he takes on Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight championship on March 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Henry Cejudo gives prediction Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane

Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo believes Jon Jones is undoubtedly going to defeat Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. 'Triple C' is convinced that the fight will end before the final bell.

In a recent episode of his podcast, the Olympic gold medalist wrestler predicted that Jones will either submit or knock out Gane inside three rounds:

"I do believe with my heart, with my wholehearted heart, that Jon Jones is not only going to beat Ciryl Gane but he's either going to submit him or he's going to stop him. I don't think this fight goes past three rounds. I think that there is a new Jon Jones."

While there's quite a bit of excitement and fanfare surrounding Jones' return, Cejudo is also set to re-enter the octagon after a lengthy hiatus later this year. The former flyweight and bantamweight champion is set to take on current 135-pound king Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 in May.
